Felicia C. Kane

        Felicia C. Kane, 69, Altus, OK, passed away Monday, May 15, 2006 at the Jackson County Memorial Hospital.  A Prayer Vigil is scheduled for 7:00 P.M. Thursday, May 18, 2006 with Funeral services scheduled for 11:00 A.M. Friday, May 19, 2006 at the Prince of Peace Catholic Church with Father Joe Arledge officiating.  Burial will follow at the Altus City Cemetery under the direction of the Kincannon Funeral Home. 

Felicia C. Kane was born October 16, 1936 in Dickson City, PA to Stanley and Helen (Rogacki) Karoscik.  She graduated from Dickson City High School in 1954.  Felicia married Warren Kane on September 26, 1975 in Moscow, PA.  She worked as a Deli Manager for many years and was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.  She enjoyed reading and bowling and league bowled for many years.  Felicia was a member of the Prince of Peace Catholic Church in Altus.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Albina Karoscik and brother Stanley Karoscik. She is survived by her husband, Warren; her sons, Frank Kane and wife Karyn of Alice Springs, Australia and Stanley J. Kane and wife Paula of Leveland, TX; her sister Anna Sekelsky of Dickson City, PA; two brothers, Francis Karoscik of Olyphant, PA and Gerald Tabor of Moosic, PA and three grandchildren, Talon Kane, Colton Kane and Krislyn Kane. Loree Kaylor

Loree Kaylor, 69, of Altus, passed away early Wednesday morning at her home.  Funeral services will be held 10:00 am, Saturday, September 1, 2007 at Kincannon Funeral Home with interment to follow in the Altus City Cemetery under the direction of Kincannon Funeral Home. 

Loree was born February 3, 1938 to James and Eunice (Smith) Chisholm in Butte, Montana.  She graduated from Columbia Falls High School in Columbia Falls, Montana, and attended some college as well as Business School in Missoula, Montana.  After she finished her education she proudly served her country in the United States Air Force from 1957 to 1959.  While in the Air Force she met and married Harvey Kaylor, on July 22, 1958 in Harrisburg, Illinois.  Loree was a member of the “Altus Chapter # 49 of the Eastern Star” She was a homemaker and her hobbies included needlework, knitting and crocheting, as well as reading.  Her true love in life was spending time with her family and friends.  

Loree was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Kathryn E. Kaylor; two sisters-in-law, and one brother-in-law. 

She is survived by her husband Harvey of the home, her daughter Sarah Danko, of OKC, OK, and two grandchildren, Stephen and Bryan Danko. The family asks that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to the Hoyt Shadid Scholarship Fund at Western Oklahoma State College. Linda Kay Kellison

Linda Kay Kellison, 65, of Altus, formerly of Amarillo, TX, died Friday evening, September 15, 2006. Funeral arrangements are currently pending with Holley Funeral home in Amarillo, TX. Arrangements in Altus were handled by Kincannon Funeral Home.

Matilda E. "Bethie" Kelly

        Matilda E. “Bethie” Kelly, 98, Altus, died Thursday, June 1, 2006 at the Plantation Village Nursing Center.  Funeral services are scheduled at 1 :00 P.M., Monday, June 5, 2006 at Elm and Hudson Church of Christ with Bill Osborne and Billy Ray Norton officiating.   Burial will follow the services at the Blair Cemetery under the direction of Kincannon Funeral Home.

Bethie was born June 6, 1907 to William Payton and Mary Etta (White) Southall in De Leon, Texas.  Her family moved by covered wagon from Texas to Oklahoma in 1910.  She attended school at Midway. She married Clarence D. Kelly Sr. February 5, 1928.  They moved to Altus in l942.  She worked at Brock Cleaners for 25 years. Her husband passed away May 20, 1986. She was a faithful member of Elm and Hudson Church of Christ.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband of 58 years, two children Mary E. Kelly in 1940 and Elvin Kelly in 1989;  a son-in-law, Riley Anderson; four brothers,  W. Peyton Southall, G. Luther Southall, Alva E. Southall all of Blair, and Cecil  A. Southall of Merced, CA;  four sisters Clara Carter Inzer, Oleta Haynes, Effie Winters all of Blair and Vera Watson of  Altus, Ok.

Survivors include two sons, Clarence D. Kelly, Jr. and wife Jerry Holland Kelly  of Norman, OK, Roy G. Kelly and wife Martyne Heatly Kelly of Conroe, TX; one daughter Melba K. Anderson of Fort Valley, GA; one daughter-in-law Hazel Curtis Kelly of Lubbock, TX; eleven grandchildren, Lana Kay Kelly of Norman, OK, Riley D. Anderson            Leavenworth, KS, William Kelly of Warner Robins, GA, John Thomas Anderson of Riverside, OH, Kim Kelly Baker of Lahunta, CO, Dawn Kelly Perrin of Lubbock, TX, Kurt Kelly of Hutchen, KS, Kara Gay Kelly Knehan of Holloman, AFB, NM, Darla Kelly Wilson of Dallas, TX, Marla Jo Kelly Loss of Chino Valley, AZ, and Tyna Kelly Gore of Athens, TX;   twenty-two great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren; one brother,  Windell Southall of Blair, two sisters, Doyle Norton of Mira Loma, CA, and Nell Markum, of Harrison, AR; several nieces and nephews and many friends.

 Cody Wayne Kendrix

        Cody Wayne Kendrix, 32, of Moore, OK, died Tuesday, June 24, 2008.  Funeral Services will be held 2:00 p.m. Friday, June 27, at the First Baptist Church in Altus with Dr. Randal (Randy) Kendrix and Dr. Jeff Moore officiating. Burial will follow services at the Altus City Cemetery under direction of Kincannon Funeral Home.

         Cody Wayne Kendrix was born March 4, 1976, in Altus to Darrell and Anita (Mashburn) Kendrix. He grew up in Altus and graduated from Altus High School with the class of 1995. After high school he attended WOSC for two years. He was currently working in commercial construction for Midwest Waterproofing in Oklahoma City. Cody enjoyed hunting, fishing, dirt bikes, and sports of all kinds. He loved children and was a member of the First Baptist Church.

         He is preceded in death by his Grandparents, Lee and Lillian Kendrix; Mary and Ed Holmes; and Jack Mashburn: as well as an Uncle Doyle and Aunt Doris Kendrix;

         Survivors include his parents: two brothers; Brian Hutton of Oklahoma City, OK, and Shane Kendrix and wife Sara, of Childress, TX: four Uncles; Scott Kendrix and wife Betty, of Moore, OK; Donald Kendrix and wife Dorothy, of Newcastle, OK; E.B. Kendrix and wife Glenda, of Altus; and Harvey Kendrix and wife Carol, of Elmer, OK: four Aunts; Louise Myers and husband Nathan, of Hobbs NM; Freda Virneau of Waco, TX; Karen Lowry and husband Lonnie, of Edmond, OK; and Francis Studdard and husband Charles, of Taladega, AL: two nephews, Thomas Hutton and Noah Kendrix: and a niece, Jordan Hutton:

 Janea Lynn Kidd

        Janea Lynn Kidd, special little angel, was born February 16, 2005 in Altus, Oklahoma to Josh and Rebekah Kidd. She was returned home Thursday, February 16, 2006 at St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Memorial services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday, February 18, 2006 at the Kincannon Memorial Chapel with Tom Bailey officiating. Her father, Josh, is youth director at Elm and Hudson Church of Christ in Altus. She is survived by her parents and brother, Josh, Rebekah and Jackson Kidd of Altus; her grandparents, Kris and Janis Piersall of Shidler, Oklahoma; Garrell and Laretta Kidd of Tuttle, Oklahoma; many aunts and uncles and other family and a whole town full of people who loved her and supported her family. Jerry Charles Kidd

    Jerry Charles Kidd, 39, passed away unexpectedly, Monday, June 4, 2007 at Comanche County Memorial Hospital. 

     Jerry was born January 17, 1968 to J. T. and Merla Gaye (Trench) Kidd in Shamrock, Texas.  He attended Samnorwood and Shamrock Schools and graduated from Shamrock High School, in 1986.  After graduating high school he attended two years of college.

     He worked in law enforcement at the Jackson County Sheriffs Office, Hollis Police Department, and Security at Altus Air Force Base, as well as doing surveillance work as a private investigator. He was a member of the Assembly of God Church.  Jerry loved to fish, to play golf, and spend time with his son, family and friends.

     Jerry is survived by his parents, Merla and J. T. Kidd, one son, Cory Thomas Kidd, two sisters; Debra Ford of Wheeler, Texas; Elizabeth Paschall of Van Buren, Arkansas; three brothers: Harold Kidd of Martha, Oklahoma; David Kidd of Shamrock, Texas; and Tommy Kidd of Ft. Smith, Arkansas; and a host of friends and colleagues including two special friends; Kenny Brakebill and Jerry Woodward.

     Memorial services will be held at 2:00 pm, Thursday, June 7, at Kincannon Funeral Home of Altus, with Jerry Woodward officiating.

Loretta Elizabeth Killian

    Loretta Elizabeth Killian, 74, Altus, died Thursday, March 1, 2007 at her home. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, March 5, 2007 at the First Baptist Church with Dr. Jeff Moore and John Lingle officiating.  Burial will follow the services at Altus City Cemetery under the direction of Kincannon Funeral Home.

     Loretta was born February 11, 1933 at Olustee, OK to Harvel and Effie (Black) Kenmore.  She married Derrill Killian August 13, 1950 in Olustee.   She graduated from Olustee High School in 1951.  She obtained her Bachelor of Science Degree from Southwestern State College in Weatherford, OK. She taught school at Burns Flat, Carter, and Altus for a total of thirty-two years. She retired from teaching in December of 1987.  She was a member of the Retired Education Association and a life long member of the First Baptist Church of Altus.  She was inducted into the Jackson County Athletic Hall of Fame in June 2005 as an outstanding high school basketball player.  She loved life, friends, and her family.  She put others first, and had a passion for what she thought was right.  

    She was preceded in death by her father,  Harvel Kenmore. She is survived by her husband of the home, Derrill Killian; two daughters Judy Morgan and her husband Zack of Altus, Tonya Worbes and her husband Fred of Altus; her mother, Effie Kenmore of Altus; the apple of her eye grandson, Cole Morgan of Oklahoma City, OK, granddaughter Melisa Parsons and husband David of Warren, grandson Roe Worbes and wife Johna of Altus; four great grandchildren;  Jacob Parsons, Shelby, Brek’yn, and Bates Worbes, one brother Billy Kenmore and wife Weasline of Altus; one nephew Billy W. Kenmore of Blair; one niece, Carolyn Allen of Snyder, OK, four grandnieces; Ty Darby and her husband Drew of Duke, OK, Shawn Kenmore of Snyder, OK, Haley and Josey Kenmore of Mangum, OK, close cousins Yolanda Weber and her husband Larry of Altus and Terry Kenmore and his wife Jackie of Olustee. Memorials may be made to the Gideon's, missions or charities of choice.

Dorman King      

        Dorman King, 67, Altus, died Monday, October 10, 2005 at the MD Anderson Hospital in Houston, Tx.  Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Friday,  October 14, 2005 at Kincannon Funeral Home with Rev. Richard Ventonis officiating.  Burial will follow at the Altus City Cemetery under the direction of the Kincannon Funeral Home.

Dorman King was born October 25, 1937 in Hobart, Oklahoma to Arthur Ray Jefferson and Virginia L. (Berry) King.  He graduated from Cordell High School in 1956. He married Louise Stephens on September 5, 1960 in Altus. He worked at the Altus Air Force Base Fire Department and then with AAFB Civil Service. He was the Mistletoe Express owner/agent in Altus from 1972 until 1986. He worked at the Vernon State Hospital in Vernon, Texas until his retirement in 1999. He was a full time grandpa ever since. He was a member of the First Assembly of God, enjoyed cars, OU football, his dogs and spending time with his grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by several aunts and uncles. He is survived by his wife Louise of the home in Altus; his mother and father, Jeff and Virginia King of Altus; his mother-in-law, Irene Wilson of Altus; his daughter and son-in-law, Rhonda and Robert Dusenbery of Altus; two sons and a daughter-in-law, John King of Russellville, Arkansas; Randy King and wife Stacey of Russellville, Arkansas; brother Larry King and wife Boni of Altus; sister-in-law Sue weeks and husband Tommie of Indiahoma, Ok; four grandchildren, Keaten King, Wilson, Ok; Alison King, Russellville, Ark; Katy King, Altus, Ok; Khloe King, Edmond, Ok; nephew J.W. King, Stillwater, Ok; nieces Jenni Weeks and Ranee Butler both of Indiahoma, Ok; a special friend, his wife’s aunt, Sallie Carder of Altus, Ok; Khloe’s mother and special family friend, Kellie King, Edmond, Ok; several aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.

Jessie Ray King

     Jessie Ray King, 81, passed away on Monday, August 28, 2006 at Jackson County Memorial Hospital.  Services were held on Thursday, August 31, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. at the Kincannon Funeral Home Chapel.  Burial followed at the Altus City Cemetery under the direction of Kincannon Funeral Home.

     Jessie Ray King was born on December 19, 1924 to Raymond and Irene King in Kinta, in Eastern Oklahoma.  Jessie, his brother, and four sisters were reared in a small farming community called Lona Valley.  He attended school there and was saved at the Lona Valley Baptist Church.  He and his brother, Junior, began helping their dad farm at a very young age. 

     Jessie Ray married Benny Jo Higgins on July 1, 1944 at McAlester, Oklahoma and from this union they were blessed with two precious children, a daughter, Betty Joan, and a son, Bobby Ray.  Jessie Ray and Benny Jo spent sixty-two wonderful happy years together.  They moved to Southwest Oklahoma in 1949 where he and his Dad were engaged in farming north west of Altus, Oklahoma.  They later moved to Elmer, Oklahoma in 1972 where he was employed at the OSU research station in Altus, Oklahoma.  He retired in 1988.

     Jessie loved all the family gatherings and there were many throughout the years.  They were always a very close and loving family.  Jessie enjoyed many hours gardening and surely had a “green thumb”.  He grew lots of delicious vegetables, watermelons, and cantaloupes.  He loved sharing them with his family and friends.  He especially loved spending time with his grandchildren, riding them around in his old blue Ford pickup.  Jessie loved and cherished the time he had with his children.

     Jessie was preceded in death by his father, Raymond King, his mother, Irene King, and a brother, Junior Edward King.  He is survived by his wife, Benny Jo, one son and daughter-in-law, Bobby Ray and Melinda King, one daughter and son-in-law, Betty and Larry Kelly all of Altus, Oklahoma;  four grandsons, Mike Kelly of Weatherford, Texas, Daryl Kelly of Elk City, Oklahoma, Brad King of Colombia, South Carolina, and Brett King of Altus, Oklahoma; one great grandson, Michael Kelly, and one great granddaughter, Jessica Kelly of Weatherford, Texas; four sister, Mildred Anderson of Chinchilla, California, Donna and W.R. Caviness of Kermit, Texas, Helena and Robert Woodward of Abilene, Texas, Ellen and Bill Blascyk of Abilene Texas and many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Martha E. Kirk

Martha E. Kirk, 75, Altus, died Friday, July 21, 2006 in Oklahoma City. Funeral services will be 10:00 A.M. Monday, July 24, 2006 at Highland Heights United Methodist Church with Rev. Brett Thomasson officiating.  Burial will follow at the Martha Cemetery under the direction of Kincannon Funeral Home.

Martha was born July 14, 1931 in the Fairview Community in Greer County, Oklahoma to Jim D. and Willie (Riek) Kyle.  She started at Fairview Community Schools and graduated from Cityview in 1949. She attended Draughn’s Business School in Wichita Falls, Texas. On July 4, 1950, Martha married Bert Kirk in Mangum, Oklahoma. She worked many years in the banking industry including with the First State Bank and the National Bank of Commerce both in Altus, OK.  She was a member of Highland Heights United Methodist Church where she was membership secretary for several years.  She loved spending time with her family and especially the grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

     She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother Hulon Kyle, and a brother-in-law James Kirk.

     She is survived by her husband, Bert, of the home; two daughters Doris Dollins and husband, Dale of Olustee, OK, Jana Welch and husband, Neal of Burleson, TX; one sister Doris Coffman and husband Ray of Mangum, OK, four grandchildren Betsy Cusher of Olustee, Charlie Dollins and wife Lindsey of Duke, OK, Shana Baker and husband Brad of Justin, TX,  Katie Dollins of Altus, and eight great-grandchildren.

Claudia Kuhnells

        Claudia Kuhnells, 101, Altus, died Sunday, May 1, 2005 at Tamarack Retirement Center. Funeral services are pending with Restland Memorial Funeral Home in Dallas, Texas. Local arrangements are under the direction of Kincannon Funeral Home.
