Nicolasa Macedo

         Nicolasa Jimenez Macedo, 59, passed away, April 29, 2007 as the results of a vehicle accident, in Altus, Oklahoma.  She was born, December 6, 1947, to Francisco and Maria De Jesus Macedo in Arroyo Grande, Mexico.  She met and married Francisco Jimenez, to this union nine children were born.  She belonged to the Iglesia Baptista Church in Altus.  She was a housewife and loved to garden, ride bikes and participate any and all church activities.

         She is preceded in death by her parents;  two brothers–in–law, Becita Vellegas, and Lidio Tavira.

         Nicolasa is survived by her husband, Francisco Jimenez, of the home, five daughters, Reyna Reyes and her husband Teodoro, Flavia Lopez and her husband Oscar, Sandra Jimenez, and Oralia Jimenez all of Altus, and Isabel Jimenez of Mexico, four sons, Reverino Jimenez, and his wife Paula, Francisco Jimenez Jr., and his wife Rosario, all of Altus, OK, Eliazar Jimenez and his wife Bertha, of Tyler, TX, and Jesus Jimenez of Altus, OK, four sisters, Berna Macedo and her husband Caliche, Juana Macedo, Galo Macedo and a twin sister, Emilia Macedo all of Mexico.  Twenty seven grandchildren, six great grandchildren,    

        Services will be held, 10:00 am, Wednesday, May 2, at the Kincannon Memorial Chapel with Pastor Robert Fork officiating.  Burial will follow at the Altus Restlawn Cemetery.  Services and burial will be under the direction of Kincannon Funeral Home. Henry A. Malena

        Henry A. Malena, 79, of Altus, passed away Wednesday evening, Oct 4, 2006, at Comanche County Memorial Hospital, in Lawton, OK. Memorial Services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Monday, October 9, 2006 at Kincannon Funeral Home of Altus with Dr. Jeff Moore officiating.

         Henry A. Malena was born on Christmas day 1926, in Addington, OK, to Johnny A. and Nellie Myrtle (Salmon) Malena. He attended school in Walters and graduated from Altus High School in 1944.  Henry served as a Corporal in the Army from June 1945 until February 13, 1946 in Ft. Belvoir, VA.  On February 23, 1946, he married LaDoris Nichols in Altus. He worked as a contract painter with his father-in-law for 20 years. Henry also worked as an independent carpet layer for 30 years, retiring in 1994.  Henry was a member of the First Baptist Church. He was baptized by Brother James Reid in the late 40’s at the First Baptist Church. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and working in his shop. Henry enjoyed working with his hands and with his imagination. He would make parts to repair household and lawn equipment. He was a gunsmith in Altus for several years during the 1960’s, often times making the parts for a gun himself.

         He was preceded in death by his parents and two half brothers. He is survived by his wife LaDoris; one daughter Barbara Wax and husband Dan of Grand Prairie, Tx; one son Andy Malena and wife Susan of Altus; one sister Anne Malena of Altus; a sister-in-law Dorothy Eley and husband Mel of Carrollton, Tx; four grandchildren, Kizra Wax of Arlington, Tx; Dru, Alex and Thomas Malena all of Altus; a very special friend and neighbor Doug Garland; his miniature black Poodle “Kriket” and many, many friends.

Vernie L. Marshall

        Vernie L. Marshall, 72, of Altus, passed away Wednesday, February 15, 2006. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Friday, February 17, 2006 at the Kincannon Memorial Chapel with Bill Osborne, Eugene Foreman and Tom Bailey officiating. Burial will follow services at the Altus City Cemetery under the direction of Kincannon Funeral Home. She was born on February 14, 1934 in Willow, Oklahoma to O. S. and Marie (Henderson) Nickell. She graduated from Granite High School in 1952. She married Don Marshall on September 7, 1956 in Granite, Oklahoma. They were blessed with 49 years of marriage. 

         She served at the J.C.M.H. Women’s Auxiliary “Pink Ladies” and even served as President.  She really enjoyed volunteering and helping others with clothes and toys for children.  She loved playing dominoes with her friends and family and making Christmas candy.  She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.  She was a long time member of the Elm and Hudson Church of Christ. 

        Her parents; a brother, Nick Nickell and a sister, Laverne Sirmons, preceded her in death. She is survived by her husband Don Marshall, of the home; two sons, Frank Marshall and wife Colleen and Rex Marshall, all of Altus, OK; one grandson, Michael Moriarity of Oklahoma City, OK; one brother Archie Nickell and wife Janie of Hobart, OK and other family members, Gizmo and Sara Bella. Lela Mae Martin

        Lela Mae Martin, 85, of Altus, OK died Friday, August 3, 2007 at Comanche County Memorial Hospital in Lawton.  Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, August 8, 2007 at Duke Church of Christ in Duke, OK, under the direction of Kincannon Funeral Home with Eddie Beard officiating.  Burial will follow at Prairie Hill Cemetery. 

        Lela was born September 27, 1921 to Jessie Lee and Nettie (Hall) Ballard in Mangum, Oklahoma.  She graduated high school at Duke in 1940.  She also attended business college.  She married Bill M. Martin February 6, 1941 in Clinton, OK.  Lela was a member of the Duke Church of Christ and was very active in church.  She worked at Sears in Houston, Texas for approximately thirty years and retired in the late 70’s.  She was an Army wife who followed her husband to many places; three years in Germany, then to Houston, Texas and then to Altus, OK.  She loved sewing, fishing, bowling, housekeeping and taking care of her family. 

        She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Bill Martin, a son, William Martin, Jr., three brothers, Quint Ballard, Curtis Ballard, and Monroe Ballard; one sister, Marie Walker. She is survived by a brother, J.D. Ballard; two sisters, Mary Emma Meadville and Lucille Sumrow; and many nieces and nephews.

Raymond M. Martin

        Raymond M. Martin, 75, Blair, died Wednesday, August 23, 2006 at Jackson County Memorial Hospital. Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Saturday, August 26, 2006 at the Altus Restlawn Cemetery with Rev. Boyd Whitehead and Lance Slater officiating. Services are under the direction of Kincannon Funeral Home.

         He was born December 14, 1930 in Amarillo, Texas to Raymond and Elva (Pursley) Martin.  He attended schools in Altus, OK.  He married Rebecca Milligan on August 27, 1954 in Altus.  He joined the United States Navy in 1948 and served in the Korean Conflict and Vietnam War.  His first ship was the USS Dixie and the last ship was the USS Long Beach.  He retired as communication specialist in 1972 with the rank of RM2.   He was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church.  He enjoyed drafting, astronomy, and building car, ship, and plane models in his spare time.  He also loved to spend time working in his yard, planting a garden, and watching the birds and squirrels.

         He was preceded in death by his parents, two infant brothers, a brother Frank Martin, and a sister Sue Martin.

         He is survived by his wife, Rebecca, of the home; one son, Rex Martin and wife Candy, of Cache, OK; one daughter, Rachel  Tardif and husband Mark of Seguin, TX;  six grandchildren, Lance Slater of Jacksonville, AR, Tabitha,  Ryan and Mariah Tardif of Seguin, TX, and Eric and Kendal Martin of Cache, OK; one sister Evelyn Utterback of Oklahoma City, OK.

Shirley L. Martin

        Shirley L. Martin, 70, of Altus, passed away Saturday, January 12, 2008 at her home.  Memorial Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 15, 2008, at the First United Methodist Church with Rev. David Player officiating. Services are under the direction of Kincannon Funeral Home.

         Shirley L. Martin was born March 21, 1937 in Bastrop, Louisiana, to Jack and Jewel (Underwood) Young. She attended school in Arkansas City, Arkansas. She married Charles M. Roberts in 1953 in Arkansas City, Arkansas. Shirley was an independent truck driver for about 10 years. She worked for the Maybeline Corporation and retired in 1998 as a clerk for the Conoco Corporation, both while living in Arkansas. She was a Christian all her life and had attended First United Methodist Church in Altus. She loved gardening, reading, science fiction and football.

         She was preceded in death by her parents; son Bobby Roberts; brothers Gerald and Jackie Young and sister Joy Dale Slaven.

         She is survived by three sons, Charles Michael Roberts and wife Emilie of Elkins, Arkansas; Kenneth and Danny Roberts, both of Dewitt, Arkansas; two daughters, Rebecca McMall and husband Steve of Altus, Oklahoma; Loretta Conway of Murrieta, California; one sister, Linda Derscheid and husband Robert (Red) of Wiggins, Mississippi; one brother, Maxie Don Young of California; eight grandchildren, Michelle Roberts of Elkins, Arkansas; Christopher McMall of Altus, Oklahoma; Christopher, Jeremy, Kenneth and Ricky Roberts of Kokomo, Indiana; Lexi and Dakota Conway of Murrieta, California; four great grandchildren of Kokomo, Indiana and many loving relatives and wonderful friends. Janessa Mariah Martinez

         Janessa was born January 17, 2006 in Altus, OK to Florencio Martinez and Antonia (Camelia) Vela.  She loved to spend time with her Mommy, Daddy and all of her grandparents and to play with shoes, especially flip-flops!  She also liked to play dress up and wear her mom’s makeup.

         She was preceded in death by three great-grandmothers, Maria Narcisa Parra, Victoria Martinez, Hilaria Vela; two great –grandfathers; Domingo Rangel, Catarino Vela; and one aunt Tonita Vela.

         Janessa is survived by her parents; a half-sister Aliza Martinez; grandparents, Noe and Antonia Vela of Gould, OK, Mary and Juan Colchado of Altus, OK, Felipe and Freda Martinez of Oklahoma City; OK; great-grandmother Victoria Rangel of Hobart, OK; two great-grandfathers Florencio Martinez of San Antonio, TX, Ignacio Parra of Reynosa, Mexico; five aunts; Christina Vela and husband Jose Vargas of Elk City, OK, Esmeralda Rodriguez and husband Rufus of Oklahoma City, OK, Noelia Vela and husband Brian Larson of Jacksonville, FL, Crystal Hall and husband Bennie of Altus, OK, and Michele Martinez of Oklahoma City, OK; three uncles, Gilbert Vela, Noel Vela both of Gould, OK, Felipe Martinez, Jr. and wife Melinda of Altus, OK; and several cousins, great aunts and great uncles.

Iola V. Mathews

Iola V. Mathews, 92, Altus, died Monday, March 27, 2006 at the Jackson County Memorial Hospital.  Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 P.M.         Iola V. Brandstatt was born August 17, 1913 in Elkhart, IN to Claude M. and Clide (Alexander) Brandstatt.  She attended Tipton schools.  She married George Mathews on May 29, 1964 in Cache, OK.  Iola worked in law enforcement as a jailer for many years.  She enjoyed fishing and bowling and loved working with her hands, especially needlework such as crocheting, leather works and tatting.  She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.  Iola was a member of the Glad Tidings Assembly of God Church in Altus. 

        Her parents; her husband George; her daughter Lela Fern Clayton; four sisters, Almeda King, Norma Ray Cannon, Goldie Marie Goddard and Lenora Hughes and three brothers, Ted Brandstatt, Paul Brandstatt and Buster Brandstatt, preceded her in death. She is survived by her daughter, Charlene Rich of Altus, OK; her son, Banton “Bill” Ammons of Broken Arrow, OK; two sisters, Juanita Kindred of Atwater, CA and Fern Sword of Spring, TX; sixteen grandchildren, twenty-six great grandchildren and six great great grandchildren. Rubena Mauldin

        Rubena Mauldin, age 91, formerly of Tulsa, Oklahoma, passed away Tuesday, October 25, 2005 in Altus, Oklahoma.  Services for Mrs. Mauldin will be Friday, October 29, 2005 at 10:00 A.M., at the First United Methodist Church in Tulsa, Oklahoma with Rev. Ed Bateman officiating.  Burial will follow at 4 p.m. at the New Hope Cemetery in Dardanelle, Arkansas, under the direction of Moore’s Eastlawn Funeral Home in Tulsa.  Local arrangements were under the direction of Kincannon Funeral Home.

        Rubena Mauldin was born December 11, 1913 in Yell County, Arkansas to Lennie and Avo (Gateley) Crow. On December 26, 1934, she married Ivan Mauldin in Yell County, Arkansas, to this union two children were born.  Mrs. Mauldin was employed for many years as a department store clerk at Vandevers in Tulsa, Oklahoma.  Mrs. Mauldin was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Tulsa.  She enjoyed music, sewing, traveling, and family activities.

        She was preceded in death by her husband, Ivan; mother, Avo Adcock and three brothers; G.L. Crow, Opal Crow, and Bob Crow. Mrs. Mauldin is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Jean and Larry Whetstone of Altus, Oklahoma, and son and daughter-in-law; Doyne and Maggie Mauldin of Hockley, Texas.  She is also survived by a sister; Sue McDonough of Joplin, Missouri and two brothers and sisters-in-law; L.G. and Freeda Crow of Owasso, Oklahoma and Bill and Carolyn Crow of Springfield, Missouri.  6 grandchildren and 6 great- grandchildren also survive Mrs. Mauldin. James D. McAllister 

        James Douglas “Klarence” McAllister, of Eldorado, passed away at Jackson County Memorial Hospital, Friday, January 12, 2007, as the results of an automobile accident.  Funeral services will be 2:00 pm, Tuesday, January 16, 2007 at Kincannon Funeral Home with Boyd Whitehead and Bill David Walker officiating.  Burial will follow at the Eldorado Cemetery under the direction of Kincannon Funeral Home.

        James Douglas McAllister was born, October 29, 1958 in Bitburg, Germany to Harold and Margaret McAllister.  He graduated from Altus High School in 1977.  He was involved in the community in many aspects including the Eldorado Volunteer Fire Department, Eldorado School Board, Eldorado 4-H/FFA Booster Club as well as Administrator of the Jackson County 4-H Riding Club.  James was a member of the Catholic faith.  He married Deborah Ann Dehtan in Eldorado, OK, on July 25, 1980.  To this union two children were born.  He was a devoted husband and father.  He loved spending time helping his children, Heath and Lesli. He was also very devoted to his niece and nephew, Shyanne and Dylan, and anyone else who needed help getting their steers ready for show.  His interests included boating, NASCAR, golf, cooking and Oklahoma football.  He enjoyed camping with the riding club and watching kids grow into young adults.  He was famous for telling the girls to “smile”.  Most of all, he loved to spend time with his family and friends.

        James is preceded in death by his grandparents; William and Annie Hann, Hannah Pangburn and Samuel McAllister. Frederick James McCarthy

Frederick James McCarthy, 76, Blair, passed away Friday, April 14, 2006 at his home.  Memorial services are scheduled for Thursday, April 20, 2006 at the Blair Cemetery at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Erin Martinez officiating.  Arrangements are under the direction of the Kincannon Funeral Home.  

        Frederick James McCarthy was born February 11, 1930 in Richmond, VA to Thomas Pretlow and Edna (Dowdy) McCarthy.  He married Dorthy Lavern Spencer on January 17, 1979 in Wichita Falls, TX.  He enjoyed the outdoors, especially fishing and working in his garden.  He loved watching C-Span and playing computer games.  He was a loving husband, father and grandfather.  

        His parents preceded him in death. He is survived by his wife Dorthy Lavern McCarthy of the home; five sons, Kenneth McCarthy of Virginia Beach, VA, Timothy McCarthy of Burkburnett, TX, Roger McCarthy of Blair, OK, Cecil McCarthy of Ft. James David McDaniel

James  David McDaniel, 49, Blair, died Thursday, June 1, 2006 at the Jackson County Memorial Hospital.  Funeral services will  10:00 A.M. , Monday, June 5, 2006 at the Trinity Holiness Church in Blair, OK  with Carl Page, Billy Hudson and Mike Holden officiating.  Burial will be at 5:00 P.M. at the Bristow City Cemetery in Bristow, OK  with Rev. James was born in Ukiah, California, November 10, 1956 to Clarence Thomas and Francis Eloise (Whitehead) McDaniel.  He attended and graduated from Sapulpa High School in 1974.  He married Loree Dowty, May 23, 1980 in Paden, OK.  He was in construction work and was a talented carpenter.  He was a member of the House of Prayer Church in Blair. He was a minister, and enjoyed raising chickens as a pastime hobby.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother Joseph Clarence McDaniel. James  is survived by his wife, Loree; four daughters, Valerie, Nancy, Jamie  of the home, and Carissa Williams of Blair; one son David of the home; one sister Barbara Drenton of Bristow, OK; three brothers Jerry McDaniel and wife Vivian of Bristow, OK , Tommy McDaniel and wife Paula of Sapulpa, OK, Bruce McDaniel and wife Betty of Clovis, CA; four  grandchildren, Timothy, Dylan, Shawn and Gracie, several nieces and nephews and many friends. Gloria McDine  

        Gloria L. McDine, 66, Altus, died Monday, June 11, 2007 at Jackson County Memorial Hospital. A Celebration of Life service will be 2 p.m. Thursday, June 14, 2007 at Kincannon Funeral Home.

         She was born on November 1, 1940 in Cornwall, England to Leslie and Ester (Orchard) Gould. She graduated from high school in Cornwall, England in 1958. She married Harry McDine on August 14, 1965 in Montreal, Canada. To this union two daughters, Kim and Pam, were born. She was the office manager for English Village Nursing Home for 15 years, retiring in 2005. She was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed sewing, yardwork, traveling and especially spending time with her grandchildren.

         She was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband Harry of Altus; two daughters, Kim Sellers and husband Bryce of Altus; Pam Garmon and husband Robin of Altus; a sister Sylvia Jennings of Vernon, British Columbia; five grandchildren, Ryan Garmon, Lauryn Sellers, Alyson Garmon, Lynsey Sellers, Brady Garmon and many friends.

Howard McDonald

        Howard McDonald, 97, of Altus, died Wednesday morning at Plantation Village. Services are currently pending with Kincannon Funeral Home of Altus.

Russell “Sonny” McIntyre

        Russell “Sonny” McIntyre, 56, Altus, died Tuesday, January 22, 2008 at Jackson County Memorial Hospital. Private family services will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Kincannon Funeral Home.

         “Sonny” McIntyre was born on December 19, 1951 in Kansas City, Kansas to John Russell and Alma May (Horton) McIntyre. He graduated from high school and enjoyed working on cars. He was regarded as an excellent mechanic.

         He is preceded in death by his father and a younger brother. He is survived by his mother Alma of Oklahoma City, Ok; sister Deborah Hague of Oklahoma City, Ok; two daughters, Heather Thorp of Moore, Ok; Valerie McIntyre of Oklahoma City, Ok. and a special friend Ricky Ybarra of Altus, Ok.

 Beverly Kay McKean

         Beverly Kay McKean, 63, Altus, died Tuesday, October 28, 2008 at Select Specialty Hospital in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Friday, October 31, 2008 at Kincannon Funeral Home with Bill Osborne officiating. Burial will follow services at the Quanah Memorial Park Cemetery, Quanah, Texas, under the direction of Kincannon Funeral Home.

     Beverly Kay Osborne was born on April 12, 1945 in Quanah, Texas to Clarence and Dora Ida (Ritchie) Osborne.

She was in the Quanah High School graduating class of 1963.

She had worked at several new car dealerships in Lubbock, Texas as business manager from 1964 until she moved to Altus, Oklahoma in 1992. She worked at Wilmes Chevrolet from 1992 until her retirement in 2006. She married Frank McKean on May 22, 1998 in Vernon, Texas. She attended Emmanuel Baptist Church in Altus. She was a lifetime member of the V.F.W. and a member of the General Motors Accounting Association. She enjoyed reading, crocheting, gardening and growing flowers.

     She was preceded in death by her parents, son Billy Dean Wilmoth and two sisters Ruth Rockholt and Velda Quiggle.

Eva J. “Nancy” McKee

        Eva J. “Nancy” McKee, 67, of Blair, OK died Saturday evening, January 5, 2007 at the English Village Nursing Care Center. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 9, 2007 at the Friendship Baptist Church, in Friendship, OK with Madison Clinton and Erin Martinez officiating. Burial will follow the services at the Navajo Cemetery in Navajo, OK under the direction of Kincannon Funeral Home. 

        Nancy, as many know her, was born in Altus on January 25, 1940 to Roy Everett and Mattie Lee (Brinkman) Hall. She grew up in the Friendship area and attended Friendship schools. She graduated from Friendship High School in 1958. She worked at the local tag office, NBC Bank, and most of her adult life she was employed by the US Department of Civil Service. She worked for 25 years at the Altus Air Force Base Hospital in many roles. Her most recent position was as the Quality Assurance Manager for the base hospital until taking a medical retirement from civil service in September of 1995. After her retirement she served for eight years as a volunteer with Jackson County Hospice and at the Free Clinic here in Altus. She held membership in such organizations as the Oklahoma Health Information Management Association (OKHIMA) and the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA). She was a fully accredited Medical Records Technician and a Certified Medical Transcriptionist. She was of the Baptist faith, and a lifelong member of the Friendship Baptist Church. Nancy enjoyed reading, sewing, cross-stitching, painting, crocheting, and spending time with family and friends. 

        Nancy is preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Imogene Davis; and one brother, George Leroy Hall. She is survived by a daughter, Renee Moore and husband Vince, of Blair, OK; Two sons, Rodger Wagoner and wife Tamara of Tuttle, OK and Michael Wagoner and wife Janet of Altus,OK  A sister, Rosaline Perry and husband Carl, of Friendship, OK; Three grandchildren, Justin and Bailey Moore, and Braden Wagoner.

Betty Jo McKibbin

        Betty Jo McKibbin, 77, a longtime resident of the Duke community, died Wednesday, December 27, 2006 at Plantation Village Care Center. Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00 a.m., Friday, December 29, 2006 at the Church of Christ in Duke, officiated by Eddie Beard and Todd McRay. Burial will follow  at Rock Cemetery. Services and arrangements are handled by Kincannon Funeral Home. Betty Jo Freeze was born January 20, 1927, on a farm about ten miles north of Tishomingo, Oklahoma. Her parents, now deceased, were Gracie Lee (Spencer) and Orbry Leonidas Freeze. A brother, Bennie Lee, was eighteen months younger than Betty and died at the age of three. On February 14, 1949, Betty was married to Noble Lee McKibbin in Hobart, OK. After living in Texas for five years they returned to Duke, Oklahoma where they have made  their home since. They have three children: Donna, Terry, and Jeff.

        Betty was baptized at the age of 14 and has been a faithful and active member – sitting with the sick, taking food to the bereaved, teaching classes, furnishing transportation for younger members to youth meetings, and attending services at the Duke Church of Christ. She graduated from Hobart High School in 1944 and had over 95 college hours to her credit, having attended Hobart Junior College for one year and gaining additional classes from Altus Junior College, West Texas State, Lubbock Texas Tech, and the Oklahoma University. She was a 4-H Leader and for three years attended summer camp as a counselor. She took a group of girls to Lake Texoma in 1963 to attend a GEA Recreational Workshop. She was Secretary in the Town and Country Club in Duke for many years, and a member of the Duke Bridge Club. She participated in many community projects. Betty worked for the Altus Public Schools for sixteen years and during that time became very active in professional programs; in 1983 made a life-time member of the National Association of Educational Secretaries. She became a member of the state organization and served as Member-At-Large in 1961-62, Secretary in 1962-63, Vice-President in 1963-64, President-Elect in 1964-65, and President in 1965-66. She conducted a conference at the Oklahoma Center for Continuing Education at the University of Oklahoma, Norman, in June 1966 and attended the National Association Educational Conference in Seattle, Washington in 1965. She was featured in the NAES magazine in January 1965 and March 1966 when she ran for National Second Vice-President. She started the Southwest District Oklahoma Education Secretaries in 1963 and was elected as chairman. She received her Grade VI Professional Standard Certificate from NAES. For seven years she worked for Capri Home Furnishings and in 1983 purchased the Montgomery Ward Catalog Store in Mangum, Oklahoma. She operated this store from 1983 to 1985 when the company closed all catalog stores. In 1986, she began at the Museum of the Western Prairie in Altus, Oklahoma. Betty was elected Jackson County Farmers Union Secretary/Treasurer in 1986 and served for several years. She always considered her greatest accomplishments were her family- furnishing them love and support in all they did. 

          She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother Bennie Lee, her step-mother, Lottie Mae Daniel Freeze and her half-brother, Kenneth Wayne Freeze. Betty is survived by her husband Noble Lee McKibbin, of Duke; two daughters; Donna Gaye Mckibbin Brinkman, and husband Eddie, of Marlow, OK and Terry Lee McKibbin Crabb, and husband Johnny, of Mangum, OK; one son, Jeffrey Lynn McKibbin and wife Brenda, of Edmond, OK.; one half-sister, Sandra Kaye Freeze of Frederick, OK;  two half-brothers, Leland Dane Freeze and wife Barbara, and  Scotty Sheryl Freeze;  eight Grandchildren; Kevin Sean Brinkman and wife Jamie of Piedmont, OK., Kelly Don Ellsworth and husband, Chris of Duncan, OK., Heather Dawn Caskey and husband, Rocky of Blair, OK., Jed Brandon Crabb, Jace Ryan Crabb, Brooke Elisha McKibbin, Nicholas Chase McKibbin, Ashlie Brianna McKibbin; five great-grandchildren, Shaelynn McKenna Ellsworth, Caleb Jerron Ellsworth, Adler Jake Ellsworth, Kaitlynn Grace Ellsworth, and Kyle Sean Brinkman; one nephew, Dante Frederick and a host of friends and relatives.

Warren S. McLennan III

        Warren S. McLennan III, 60, died Monday at Jackson County Memorial Hospital. Memorial Services are scheduled for 4:00 P.M. Saturday, May 6, 2006 at the Kincannon Memorial Chapel.  Burial will follow at the Ft. Logan National Cemetery in Denver, CO. on Tuesday, May 9, 2006 at 4:00 P.M.   Services are under the direction of the Kincannon Funeral Home.

        Warren Shelton McLennan III was born May 16, 1945 to Warren S. and Joanna (Strayhorn) McLennan II in Dodge City, KS. He graduated from Laramie High School, Laramie, Wyoming. He received his Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Wyoming, and a Master’s Degree at the Air Force Academy in Denver, CO. He retired as Major in 1988, after serving twenty years in the United States Air Force.  He had currently been a pilot instructor for Flight Safety at Altus Air Force Base. He married Susan Enriguez in San Jose, CA, to this union three sons were born.  He later married Margaret Beach. He was a life member of Butch O’Neil VFW Post 4876,  Altus, OK and Wendy Trails Golf Course. He enjoyed playing pool, darts, and spending time with his family and friends.

        He was preceded in death by his parents. He was survived by his wife, Margaret, of the home, three sons Warren James McLennan of High Point, NC, Wesley Jon McLennan and wife Christine of Lier, Belgium; William Jeffrey McLennan and wife Stacy of Columbus, OH; two step-daughters, Cindy Judy and husband  Doug of Summerville, SC, Tony Hardy of Mt. Pleasant, SC; three step-sons,  Charles Kenny Faulling , John Eddie Faulling and wife Debbie, William Billie Faulling all of Summerville, SC; one sister, Diana Carr and husband Lee of Hot Springs, SD, one aunt, Juanita Caudell Smith of Blanco, TX; two uncles, Warren Strayhorn  and wife Mildred, Leroy Strayhorn and wife Roberta  all of Llano, TX;  two nephews Brian Carr of Orange Grove, Tx; Kevin Carr of Rapid City, S.D; and many special cousins including James Caudell and wife Debbie of Blanco, TX.

William L. McMillian

        William L. McMillian was born on April 17, 1928 to John and Addie B. (Lewis) Choice in Wichita, Kansas.  He was the last of three children to bless this union.  Being the only boy with two older sisters, Beulah Moore and Mary Lee Sanders, William spent a lot of time playing by himself, but loved his sisters very much.

         William or “Uncle Dub” or W.L. as many called him was educated in Snyder, Oklahoma, where his mother met and married T.S. McMillian, his stepfather and later moved to Altus where he also attended school.

         On January 31, 1946, Uncle Dub enlisted into the United States Army at the age of 18.  He served in World War II.  After serving a little over three years, he left the Army with a Victory metal on May 18, 1949.

        W.L. later moved to Vernon, Texas where he married his first wife, Mildred C. Black.  To this union one beautiful daughter was born, Millicent Lynn, who gave him a beautiful granddaughter, Brittany LeShelle.  In 2003 he lost his wife, and in 2007 his daughter passed away.  He later married Eunna Faye Rice of Altus, OK. While living in Altus William was employed at a Katy Railroads and VanLines Trucking Company to name a few. Later in life, Uncle Dub started traveling, he traveled to many states enjoying life.  He often traveled to Las Vegas where he loved the mountains and Colorado where he often visited his daughter before her passing.  In addition to traveling in his free time Uncle Dud loved to work on cars and maintenance around the house. 

        William was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents; one sister, his first wife and his daughter. William L. McMillian departed this life February 11, 2008 at the age of 79. A celebration of life memorial service may be held at a later date. Those left to cherish his memory include his sister, Mary Lee Sanders; a granddaughter, Brittany LeShelle Borne; his closest cousin/sister, Lorene Lyons, who resided with him the last four years of his life; and a host of other family members and friends.

                      Paula L. Mesa

Paula L. Mesa, 72, of Olustee, Oklahoma, died Sunday evening, November 23, 2008 in Oklahoma City. Services are entrusted to Kincannon Funeral Home of Altus.Paula L. Alaniz was born October 9, 1936, in Tampico, Tamalipas, Mexico, to Juan and Eulalia (Rojas) Alaniz. She and her family moved to the U.S. at the age of six and settled in San Benito, TX. She attended school in Mexico and San Benito, TX. She married Frank Lopez on December 10, 1953 in San Benito, TX. To this union seven children were born. She worked most of her adult life as a teacher’s aide, Sunday school teacher, childcare provider, and homemaker. She married Socorro Mesa in January of 1988, in Vernon, TX.She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Socorro, in April of 2002, and one brother, Thomas Alaniz.She is survived by the children’s father, Frank Lopez; six daughters, Ruth Benitez and husband Luis, of Altus, Mary Ann Reyes of Olustee, Esther Huerta of Olustee, Naomi Garcia, and husband Rudy, of Olustee, Lydia Reynolds, and husband Carmon, of DeRidder, LA, and Deborah Nunez, and husband Frank, Altus; one son, Seth Lopez of Olustee; two sisters, Dora Bernal and husband Macario, of Chicago, IL, and Angelina Melgosa of Gainsville, IL. Three brothers; Juan Felipe Alaniz and wife Ester, of Holland, MI., Hugo Alaniz and wife Judy, of Chicago, IL; Ruben Alaniz and wife Ortencia, of Chicago; twenty three grandchildren and twenty nine great grandchildren.

 

Patricia A. Meyer

    Patricia A. Meyer, 62, Altus, died Wednesday, April 30, 2008 at her home on Martha Road. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, May 6, 2008 at Kincannon Funeral Home with Rev. Donna Florio officiating. Burial will follow services at the Altus City Cemetery under direction of Kincannon Funeral Home.

    Patricia A. (Julkowski) Meyer was born April 5, 1946, in Minneapolis, MN. to Edmund W. and Monica D. (Siwek) Julkowski. She grew up and attended schools in the Minneapolis area, graduating from High School in 1964. In the fall of 1966 she married Roger A. Meyer and traveled with him throughout his military career. They raised two sons.

    A longtime member of Our Savior Lutheran Church in Altus, Patricia enjoyed reading, sewing and knitting, traveling, camping, fishing, hobby crafts, and occasionally going to the casino. She was a member of Red Hats, SMART (special military retired travelers), NCO Wives Club, and Fire Dept. Wives Club. She worked for the Red River Credit Union for 21 years.

    Patricia is preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her loving husband Roger, two sons; Kenneth Meyer, and wife Deanna of Colorado Springs, CO and Daniel Meyer and wife Dawn of Blair; two brothers; Edmund Julkowski and wife Charlene of West Richland, WA, and Chester Julkowski and wife Jackie, of Minneapolis, MN; two grandchildren; Jessie Meyer and Derek Meyer, along with a host of nieces, nephews, and special friends.

Mervin Clair “Mike” Mikkelson

        Mervin Clair “Mike” Mikkelson, 68, of Corn, Oklahoma, died Friday, March 2, 2007 in Weatherford, OK.   Services will be 10:00 A.M. Monday, March 4, 2007 at Kincannon Memorial Chapel  in Altus, OK with Ken Gardner officiating. Mike was born May 25, 1938 in Forrest City, Iowa to Bud and Ruth (Rollefson) Mikkelson.  He married Yvonne (Hanson)  May 2, 1964. 

        He was a retired warehouse truck driver.  After retirement he worked at miscellaneous jobs. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his wife, Yvonne and one son Brian Mikkelson. He is survived by two daughters, Teri Bourland of Altus, OK and Stephanie Shipley and husband of Colorado City, CO; two sons Troy Mikkelson and wife Kristy of Hobart, OK, and Cliff Mikkelson of Wilton, CA ;  two sisters Elsene “Sue” Valencia and husband Rudy, Sheryl Nakishima and husband Mike all of Long Beach, CA; eleven grandchildren, Lance Bourland, Brad Bourland,  Jennifer Bourland, Troy Mikkelson, Taylor Mikkelson, Brooke Mikkelson, Blake Mikkelson, Megan Mikkelson, Brianna Mikkelson, Jessica Shipley, and Danica Shipley; and one great-grandson  Dustin Bourland.

Cecelia L. Miller 

        Cecelia (Cese) Louise Miller, 80, Altus, OK died Wednesday, January 30, 2008 at Jackson County Memorial Hospital.  Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, February 2, 2008 at Our Savior Lutheran Church with Rev. Donna Florio officiating.  Burial will be 11:00 a.m., Monday, February 4, 2008 at Ft. Sill National Cemetery in Elgin, OK.

        Cese was born August 13, 1927 to William Alfred and Celia (Rushing) Cook in Groveton, TX.    She received her degree from Texas Women’s College in Denton, TX and was a Home Economics teacher for several years.  She married Walter H. Miller June 13, 1953 in Houston, TX.  She enjoyed being a military wife, exuberant at every challenge faced with new and exciting places to live and created a wonderful home life for her family.  She was a member and president of several of the following organizations Officers Wives Club, Gamma Mothers, Patrons of the Arts, Ozark HCE Club, Lutheran Women of the Church, American Association of University Women (AAUW), Southwest Oklahoma Quilter’s Guild, Short Grass Arts and Humanities and the Oklahoma Summer Arts Institute.  Cese was an active volunteer at the voter precinct, the nursing homes, the county fair, blood drives, Reading Renaissance and wherever she could help.  She was also a homemaker and enjoyed sewing, quilting, photography, cooking, landscaping, gardening, and entertaining.

        She was preceded in death by her parents; in-laws; step-father;  two brothers, William (Bill) Lorenzo Cook and wife Jean Del Elborne, William Alfred  (Fred) Cook; two sisters, Pauline Cook, Marie (Cook) Wallace; brother-in-law, Robert Kenneth Wallace.

        She is survived by husband, Walt Miller; three daughters, Kathy Miller Moir and husband, Allan, of Sonoma, CA, Jean Meacham, and husband Tom of Altus, OK, Mindy Smiley and husband Jack, Jr. of Altus, OK; one sister, Margie Billings of Nacodoches, TX; one brother James Henry Cook and wife Nelda of Arlington, VA; one sister-in-law, Janie Cook of Houston, TX; six grandchildren, Stacy Meacham Bernard and husband Justin, Kristin Davis, Jesse Davis, Keaton Smiley, Hayden Smiley, and Evan Smiley; and one great-grandson Jeron Thomas Bernard.

Hershal Milligan

    Hershal Milligan, 76, Altus, passed away Wednesday, April 23 in Oklahoma City.  Services will be held 10:00 AM, Tuesday, April 28 at Kincannon Funeral Chapel with Bill Osborne officiating.  Burial will follow at the Blair Cemetery with full military honors.

    Hershal Dee Milligan was born October 15, 1931 to Bill and Cleo (Morrison) Milligan in Blair, Oklahoma.  He was the owner of a moving and storage company for many years.  His favorite pastime was watching sports on television and doing yard work. 

    He is preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Clara (Welch) Milligan, second wife, Margala (Borden) Milligan; one brother, Onzel Milligan; one sister, Aline Preacher; two brothers-in- law, Ben Beck and A.L. Preacher.

Barbara Ellen Minns

        Barbara Ellen Minns, passed away at her home in Altus, OK, on Tuesday, March 20, 2007. Funeral Services are scheduled for 2:00 pm on Friday, March 23, 2007 at the Kincannon Funeral Chapel.  Burial will follow the services at the Altus City Cemetery under the direction of Kincannon Funeral Home. 

        Barbara was born to Milton and Mildred (Humbert) Minns on February 11, 1929 at Fowler, Indiana.  She received an associate degree in 1979 from Western Oklahoma State College.  Barbara moved to Altus in 1964 where she worked as a bartender, bar owner and finally as a nurse aide before her retirement.

        She was preceded in death by her parents, three sons: William Lighty, Richard Lighty, and Randall Lighty. She is survived by her three daughters: Bobbi Harris and Tonia Lighty, both of Altus, OK and Krista Karns and her husband John of Billings, MT: nineteen  grandchildren: twenty-seven great-grandchildren.

James (Jimmie) A. Mitchell

        James (Jimmie) A. Mitchell went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on July 16, 2007.  He passed away at his son’s home in Edmond, Oklahoma with family members present by his side.

        Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 18, 2006 at the First Assembly of God with Dr. Richard Ventonis officiating. Burial will follow services at the Eldorado Cemetery under the direction of Kincannon Funeral Home.

         James was born into the family of James H. and Mamie (Braker) Mitchell on May 7, 1927.  James grew up in Eldorado, Oklahoma where he attended school.  He married Dorotha Marie Taylor on February 20, 1946 in Vernon, Texas.  He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and was stationed in Tokyo, Japan.  They started their family in Amarillo, Texas.  In 1955, James and moved his family to Altus, Oklahoma.  As a long time member of the First Assembly of God church, he serves as a deacon and head usher.  He also served as Commander for the church’s Royal Rangers.  He retired from 20 years of civil service at Altus Air Force Base.

         He was preceded in death by his parents and infant son, Cecil James Mitchell. He is survived by his wife, Marie, and children Mary Mitchell and wife Miriam of Edmond, Oklahoma, Terry Mitchell and wife Darla of North Richland Hills, Texas, and Kathy Pierce of Altus, Oklahoma.  He leaves behind 5 grandchildren, Michael Mitchell and wife, Samantha, Bryan Mitchell and wife, Danae, Scott Mitchell, Melissa Minter and husband Terry, and Christy Stewart and husband Richard; and 5 great-grandchildren, Savannah, Emili, Andrew, James and Shelby.

Madge Lee Mobbs

        Madge Lee Mobbs, 89, went home to be with our precious Lord on Monday, February 14, 2005 at Jackson County Memorial Hospital.         Madge was born November 23, 1915 in Amarillo, TX to John and Madge (Brice) Parker.  She married Thurman Lee Mobbs on December 1, 1939.  To this union, two sons were born.  She worked for Nolan Fried Pies, the Pinkney Meat Packing Plant and Levi Strauss Distribution Center in Amarillo.  She also worked for Tulia Public Schools and as manager of Filmport of Altus, owned by her sons.  She was a member of the Southside Baptist Church in Altus.  She began watching First Baptist Church TV after she could not attend church any longer.  She loved the way Brother Jeff brings the children forward for the mystery box.  She enjoyed fishing, shopping and being with her family.  She loved her family and never hesitated to tell them so.

        She was preceded in death by her husband, Thurman Mobbs;  sisters, Joye Thomas, Roberta Witt, Flora Sanders, and Bessie Sanders;  brothers, Johnny Parker and Marion Parker.

        She is survived by her sons, Don Mobbs and wife Betty Ann of Oklahoma City and Eddy Mobbs and wife La Nell of Altus;  grandchildren, Tina Myers and husband Darie Myers of Altus, Dena Lay of Altus, Carey Edmondson of Denton, Tx; Kyle Edmondson of Cedar Park, Tx; Corey Edmondson of Midland, Tx; Tara Gilbert and husband Brad of Altus, Krista Mobbs of Altus, Jonathon Mobbs of Altus and Kelsey Ann Mobbs of N. Dale E. "Papa" Montgomery

        Dale E. "Papa" Montgomery, 68, Altus, died Wednesday January 5, 2005 at his home.  Graveside services are scheduled for 11:00 A.M. Saturday, January 8, 2005 at the Victory Cemetery.  Arrangements are under the direction of the Kincannon Funeral Home.

        Dale was born February 16, 1936 in Mangum, Ok. to Ed and Ada Marie (Leonard) Montgomery.  He married Marietta Williams on August 4, 1957 west of Altus at the homestead of Tom and Ada Willis.  He worked in road construction for many years.  On December 16, 1980, Dale and Marietta opened Altus Petal Pushers. They owned and operated the flower shop for twenty one years.  He was an avid reader and frequented coffee shops.  He took pride in his home and his business.  He loved spending time with his family and his animals.  He was a member of the Church of Christ.

        He was preceded in death by his parents; an infant brother Nathan Brent and a sister Patricia Mooneyham. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Marietta of the home in Altus; his daughter and son-in-law, Mona and Randy McDow of Altus; one son Monty Montgomery of Pampa, Tx; one nephew Phil Mooneyham who was thought of as a son; two grandsons, Timothy McDow and his wife Patricia; Dale Glen Montgomery; one granddaughter, Brenna McDow; three brothers, Carroll Montgomery of Wichita Falls, Tx; Gary Montgomery of Altus and Neil Montgomery of Duke, Ok; two sisters, Phyllis Graumann of Big Spring, Tx. and Sherry Blackwell of Carson City, Nevada; two great grandsons, Austin and Waylin McDow; many nieces, nephews and friends; and two little puppies, Muff and Annie, which he loved dearly. Marla Morgan

        Marla Morgan, 51, born October 28, 1956 in Odessa, TX, passed away February 1, 2008 in Farmers Branch, TX due to complications from pneumonia. She is survived by her daughter, Taylor D’Ann Morgan; brother, Steven Howard Hoeckendorf; niece, Melissa Maria Hoeckendorf; and step -father Clayton M. Nall. She is preceded in death by her husband, Danny Ray Morgan; father, Marvin Howard Hoeckendorf; mother Verna Joan Nall; and grandmother, Bonnie Osborne.

        Marla graduated from Altus High School in 1974, where she was an athlete, cheerleader, and active student. She then attended college in Midwest City, OK and focused her career in the computer software and accounting fields. Marla was a caring and devoted mother, friend, and extremely personable to all whom she met. Many remember her creative, humorous, and independent personality.

        Although faced with many obstacles in her short life she managed to stay headstrong and optimistic no matter what. An excellent cook and welcoming hostess, she was known for bringing laughter and good food to any occasion. Known as a mother and care giver to all that needed help, Marla was never afraid to make sure you were happy. Marla was always surrounded by love and shall be missed by countless family members and friends.

        Memorial services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 16, 2008 at Kincannon Funeral Home, in Altus, with Bill Osborne officiating. Myrtle Lene Morgan  

        Myrtle Lene Morgan, 97, Altus, died Thursday, January 12, 2006 at Jackson County Memorial Hospital.  Graveside services are scheduled for 10:00 A.M. Saturday, January 14, 2006 at Riverside Cemetery in Mangum, OK with Pastor Danny Atchley officiating.  Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Kincannon Funeral Home.

        Myrtle was born July 9, 1908 in Greer County, Oklahoma to Rabe and Flora (Teague) Morgan.  She graduated from Mangum High School.  She began working in the accounting department for the United States Civil Service at Camp Hood, TX during W.W. II.  She retired from Civil Service at Altus Air Force Base in 1965.  She was an artist and especially enjoyed painting china.  She was a member of the Eastern Star and the Business and Professional Women Organization.   She was a member of the Central Christian Church in Mangum, OK for many years. She was preceded in death by parents; her sister Elizabeth Morgan and her brother, Charles Morgan. Her brother, J. B. Morgan and wife Lou Emma of Tulsa, OK and eleven nieces and nephews survive her. Hartsell Ray Morris

        Hartsell Ray Morris, 76, of Altus died Thursday, January 17, 2008 at home.  Funeral services will be at  Kincannon Memorial Chapel  10:00 a.m. Monday, January 21, 2008  with Bill Osborne and Matt Springfield officiating.  Burial will follow at the Altus City Cemetery under the direction of Kincannon Funeral Home.

         Hartsell R. Morris was born September 13, 1931 to A.V. and Carrie Ann (Hester) Morris in Jackson County near Olustee, Oklahoma. He was raised and lived all of his life in the Southwest Oklahoma area.  He married Learldeen (Dee) Trammell September 15, 1956 in the home of Mr. and Mrs. O.B. McGee southeast of Hollis, Oklahoma.  He was a member of the Church of Christ.  He was self-employed as owner of Morris Service Center on West Broadway for 25 years and retired in 1986.

        He was preceded in death by his parents; six  brothers, and two sisters.       Hartsell is survived by his wife, Dee, of the home; one daughter Lynna Wilmes and husband Scott; two granddaughters, Kinsey and Darbie Wilmes all of Altus; three sisters, Hoylene White of Oklahoma City, OK, Henrietta Houck of Oklahoma City, OK, and Hildred Jana of Fern Park, FL.

Joseph Franklin Morris

        Joseph Franklin Morris, 72, Olustee, passed away Friday, April 11, 2008 at Norman Regional Hospital in Norman.  Memorial services are scheduled for 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, April 15th at Kincannon Funeral Chapel with Bro. Doug Altom officiating under the direction of Kincannon Funeral Home. 

         Joe was born April 2, 1936 to John and Frankie Francis (Wright) Morris in Bakersfield, California.  He married Alene Gibson in 1955 at Vernon, TX. Later, he married Pat Fawley in CA.  He served in the U.S. Army from 1958 to 1964.  He drove a truck for many years, hauling hay in Southwest Oklahoma.  He was also a mechanic and a heavy equipment operator.  Joe was of the Christian faith. He was a member of the B.I.A. and the VFW. He enjoyed fishing, working with his hands, reading, animals, and playing pool. Most of all, he enjoyed time spent with his family and friends. 

         Joe was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Jack Morris and J.L. Morris, and one step-daughter, Tanya Pence.

         He is survived by four daughters, Dorinda Vantz, and husband, Bill, of Howenwald, TN; Cynthia Morris of Howenwald, TN; Cassandra Tutten and husband, Tim of Cordell, OK; and Francie Medford, and husband, Mark of Blair; two sons, Jim Morris of TN, and Jack Morris of TN, two step-daughters, Nickie Jenkins of Albquerque, NM, Kelley Hamm and husband, Richie, of Whiteoak, TX, two step-sons, Brett Moore and wife, Lisa, of Durant, OK, and Scott Moore and wife, Ritha, of Atoka, OK; a sister-in-law, Faye Morris of Apache, OK; a neice, Winona Morris of Apache, OK; a nephew, Jeffery Morris, and wife, Jill, of Apache, OK; a special friend, Cherie Morris of Mangum, OK; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

 Billy John Motheral

        Billy John Motheral, 78, of Altus, died early Thursday, Jan. 25, 2007, at English Village Nursing Home. He was born December 8, 1928 in Wilson, Texas to Ralph and Agnes (Vernon) Motheral.  He attended all twelve years of school in Abernathy, Texas, graduating in 1946. He worked as a welder until he entered in the army in November of 1950.  He served for two years in Colorado and Alaska.

        In 1955 he moved to the Motheral farm between Olustee and Elmer, Oklahoma to help his father with the farming.  He was also a Civil Engineer Service Worker at the Altus Air Force Base from 1955 to 1987.  He was the foreman and supervisor for the sheet metal and welding shop for many years.  He later was a planner and cost estimate expert.

        He married Glenda Goode of Mangum, OK in 1960 and had two children.  They enjoyed 46 years of marriage. After retirement in 1987, he did carpentry work and remodeled several houses.  He was the manager of the Elks Club for several years.  He also served as Exalted Ruler of the Elks Club for several years and held many other offices. 

        He enjoyed playing golf, watching football, golf, and high school wrestling.  He also enjoyed restoring old cars and doing woodworking.  He was a “Jack of all trades” and could fix almost anything.  He loved helping people.  He especially enjoyed playing with and being with his only grandchild, Alex Motheral.

        He was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Agnes Motheral; sister and brother-in-law, Imogene and Berney Shires; sister and brother-in-law, Wynelle and Leslie Pope; and brothers-in-law, Harold Kelly and Houston Adams. He is survived by his wife, Glenda; son, Scott Motheral of Altus; daughter, Debra Ware of Grand Prairie, Texas; and granddaughter, Alex Motheral, of Olustee; sister, Wilma and C.J. Pope of Abernathy, Texas; two brothers and their wives, R.K. and P.J. Motheral of Palestine, Texas and Don and Billie Fern Motheral of Kress, Texas, and a brother, Lawrence Motheral of Palestine, Texas.  On his wife’s side of the family he is survived by brothers and sisters-in-law, Wayne and Wanda Goode of Borger, Texas, Dodie Adams of Tulsa, OK, Mary and John White of Temple, Texas, Billie Faye Kelly of Mesa, Arizona, Ned and Betty Goode of Mangum, OK., and Pat and Jack Halford also of Mangum, OK.  He is also survived by many nieces and nephews, and cousins.

        Graveside services for Bill Motheral will be Saturday, January 27, 2007 at 2PM at the Altus City Cemetery under the direction of Kincannon Funeral Home. The family will greet friends and family Friday, January 26, from 5-7 PM at Kincannon Funeral Home.

Don Allen Mullikin

        Don Allen Mullikin, 53, Altus, OK, died Saturday April 9, 2005 at the Jackson County Memorial Hospital.  Memorial Services are scheduled for 10:00 A.M. Saturday April 16, 2005 at the Second Baptist Church, Tutt Chapel, 309 E. Franklin, Liberty, MO, 64068 with Rev. Chris Combs officiating.  Arrangements are under the direction of the Kincannon Funeral Home.

        Don Allen Mullikin was born October 14, 1951 in Kansas City, MO to Cecil E. and Mildred H. (Allen) Mullikin.  He graduated from Liberty High School in 1969.  He enlisted in the United States Air Force in January of 1971.  He served for seven years as a Fireman and an EMT and then worked in flight simulation  for ten years before joining Hughes Aircraft in 1989.  During his seventeen year career, he achieved the rank of  TECH SGT with numerous other Service and professional awards.  He was a gun enthusiast and an avid photographer.  He traveled all over the United States in the course of both Military and Civilian assignments. During his sixteen year civilian career in Flight Simulation, he achieved a high level of expertise and was sought after for his high level of problem solving ability. 

        He was preceded in death by his father, Cecil Mullikin. He is survived by his mother, Mildred H. Mullikin of Lee's Summit, MO;  his brother and sister-in-law Kirk and Terri Mullikin of Lee's Summit, MO and his beloved "Little Dog";  his niece and her husband, Sandi and Kris Stewart of Topeka, KS and numerous loving relatives and dear friends who cared for and supported him so faithfully.

        In lieu of flowers, the family suggest memorials be made to the American Brain Tumor Association @ 2720 River Road, Suite 146, Des Plaines, IL, 60018-4110.

Martha L. Murphy

        Martha L. Murphy, 62,  Altus, died Monday, May 23, 2005  at Plantation Village Care Center.  Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m., Friday, May 27, 2005 at Kincannon Funeral Home with Pastor Charlene Walker and Apostle Victor West officiating.  Burial will follow at the Altus City Cemetery under the direction of Kincannon Funeral Home.

        Martha was born in Elmore City, Oklahoma  on August 8, 1942 to Raymond Prince and Mae Bell Franklin Hall.  She lived in Tatums, Oklahoma and Ponca City, Oklahoma.  She moved to Altus when she was in the 8th grade.  She met and married Walter Booker while living in Altus.  To this union eight children were born.  Her life was devoted to cooking, singing, working word puzzles, and traveling.   But most of all she loved  reading her Bible and spending time with her grandchildren.  She was a member of the New Beginning Full Gospel Church.  She  married John Murphy in September  1995 in Altus.

        She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Walter Booker; three sisters, Rosie M. Prince,  Florene Burris, and Mae Goodlett;  one brother, Earl Prince, and two children Kim Booker and James Booker.

        She is survived by her husband, John Murphy of Hollis, Ok;  four daughters, Angela Flemons and husband Ricky, Columbia, Maryland,  Jacquelyn Curry and husband Ralph, Altus,  OK, Janette Crowley and husband Carlett, Lubbock, TX, and Breggitta Evans, Abilene, TX;  two sons, Walter Booker and wife Sheila of Bowie, Maryland, and Octavia Booker and wife Vilma, Catonsville, Maryland;  nine sisters, Virgie Wade and husband James, Wichita, KS,  Helen Roland, Ponca City, OK,  Ella Franklin, Long Beach, CA,  Evelyn Crayton,  Wichita, KS, and Earlene Pruitt, also of Wichita, KS, Deloris Clasper of Harvey, IL, Sharon Grant of Hazlecrest, IL, Gail Hays Prince Robinson of Oklahoma City, OK and Kathleen Prince of Altus, OK; three brothers, Percy Prince and wife Ira, MesaGrande, AZ,  Ronnie Prince and wife Savannah, Markham, IL, and Raymond Prince, Altus, OK;  thirteen grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.
