Pamela Yabsley

    Pamela Arlene Yabsley, 54, of Altus, OK died Tuesday, September 25, 2007 at Jackson County Memorial Hospital.  Her funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, September 29, 2007 at Our Savior Lutheran Church in Altus, OK. with Rev. Donna Florio officiating.   

    Pamela Arlene Yabsley was born December 28, 1952 in Denver, Colorado to Ruben and Naomi (Lipton) Kravitz.  She attended and graduated from George Washington High School in Denver, Colorado and also attended nursing school in Denver and became an LPN. She married Lee Yabsley February 27, 1975 in Aurora, Colorado.  She was a military wife and mother throughout the 70’s.  She was the Volunteer of the Year at Altus Air Force Base in 1980.  She was a member of the Southwest Oklahoma Quilters Guild and served as treasurer several times.  She ate lunch each Tuesday with Sam Weber and friends.  She enjoyed all types of sewing and loved to volunteer at her church, the base and at school.  She was a member of the Lutheran Church.  

Pamela was preceded in death by her mother Naomi Kravitz. She is survived by her husband of the home; her father Ruben Kravitz of Denver, Colorado;  two daughters Naomi Aileen Yabsley of Glendale, Ariziona, Rachael Marie Niles of Greenwood, Arkansas; two granddaughters Kada and Katlyn Niles of Greenwood, Arkansas; one brother Daniel Kravitz and  wife Jeannie of Denver, Colorado; one sister Claire Woodward of Salt Lake City, Utah, and many friends.
