Beatrice Zinn
Beatrice Zinn, 87, of Altus, OK. died Tuesday, July 18, 2006 at Livingston Memorial Hospital in Livingston, TX. Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00 am Friday, July 21st, 2006 at the Kincannon Memorial Chapel, with Rod Smith and son-in-law Ted Savage officiating, assisted by J.V. Oden. Burial will follow the services, at Restlawn Cemetery in Altus, under the direction of Kincannon Funeral Home.
Beatrice (Bea) Zinn was born December 1st, 1918 in Humphreys, OK. to Arthur T. Brown and Burdette (Barnes) Brown of Texas. After the death of her mother she was adopted and raised by Worthy and Myrtie Summers. She attended the Humphries School and completed the 11th grade. On June 23rd, 1934 she married Raymond H. Zinn in Altus, OK. and to this union three children were born.
She was employed as a retail merchant and together Mr. and Mrs. Zinn owned and operated “Zinn Electric” in Altus for 30 years. She also taught Sunday School at the First Baptist Church for many years and worked for the election board as a precinct worker. She enjoyed many years of water exercise with her friends at WOSC. She was a minister in the prayer room at the First Baptist Church and chaplain of Southwest Oklahoma Republican Women.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Raymond, and a daughter Hazel Ann White, one sister Twila Dobbs, and one brother Trilbus Summers. She is survived by two children, Verna Savage and husband Ted of Livingston, TX., and Joel Zinn and wife Georgene of Broken Arrow, OK.; two half-sisters, Henry Katherine Ford of Clovis, CA. and Lavita Trollander of Fresno, CA.; and one half-brother, Dwight Brown of Del City, OK.
Nine grandchildren; Mike Savage and wife Deanna of Teague, TX., Marla Turner and husband Don of Ft. Worth, TX, Michele Edlin and husband Kent of Pueblo, CO., Scott White and wife Joy Dee of Los Alamos, NM., Jill Tatum and husband Jeff of Grand Rapids, MI., Jennifer Brenner and husband Andrew of Sante Fe, NM., Brian Zinn and wife Tara of Norman, OK., Jillian Zinn of Broken Arrow, OK., and Jacob Zinn of Broken Arrow, OK.; 19 great grandchildren, and 7 great-great grandchildren. Debbie (Barker) Zuber
Debbie (Barker) Zuber, 59, died Wednesday, November 9, 2005 at her home in Franklin, Virginia. Graveside services are scheduled for 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, November 15, 2005 at the Mt. Park Cemetery, Mt. Park, OK under the direction of the Kincannon Funeral Home.
Debbie J. Barker was born July 1, 1946 in Hobart, OK to Roy and Burnidene (Wilder) Barker. She attended Southplains College and later received her B.S. at Northwest Texas Nursing School. She spent her life caring for others and most recently as Chief Nursing Officer at the South Hampton Memorial Hospital in Virginia. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend. Her parents, Roy and Burnidene Barker, preceded her in death.
Her daughters, Deana Riddle and Dawna Walton and husband Jim, and her son, Todd Zuber and wife Perry; survive her; two sisters, Kathy Nolan and Grace Reeves and a brother, Tony Barker; nine grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
