James Edward Louchery

January 7, 1931 — September 13, 2017

James Edward Louchery, 86, Altus, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, September 13, 2017. Graveside services have been scheduled for 10 AM Monday, September 18, 2017 at the Altus City Cemetery with Chaplain Erin Martinez officiating. Burial will be under the direction of the Kincannon Funeral Home and Cremation Service.

James was born on January 7, 1931 to Cephas and Hazel (Davis) Louchery. He was the youngest of twelve children and was born in Clarksburg, West Virginia. James and Corrine Ellen Framancheck were married on March 31, 1963 in Finleyville, PA, where they made their home for many years before moving to Altus. Corrine preceded him in death on July 28, 2016 after 53 years of marriage. He was employed by Equitable Resources in Pennsylvania for thirty three years until his retirement. James served his country in the United States Marine Corps and served on the C.S.C.G.C. Chincoteague in the United States Coast Guard. He loved the ocean and got to travel to many different places. He was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers, OU Sooner and West Virginia football fan. He also loved Pittsburgh Penguins Hockey. James said one of his greatest joys was playing ball with his granddaughter CC in the backyard.

James is preceded in death by his parents; his wife; 6 sisters, Mary Lou Fox, Helen Fox, Margaret Thompson, Lillian Edwards, Leatrice Martinez and Betty Stanton; and 4 brothers, Robert, Carroll, Gerald and William Louchery.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory his daughter, Skyla Collier and husband, Mike; two sons, Steve Louchery and wife, Cathie, and James Louchery, Jr. and wife, Cheryl; stepdaughter, Darlene Ash; stepson, Harry Dennis Wall; 3 grandchildren, Caitlyn "CC" Collier, Taylor Louchery and Amanda Louchery Stewart; 3 stepgranddaughters, Jodi Buckley, Kristi Lincoln and Summer Burkholder; a sister, Beatrice McIver; and many nieces and nephews.
