Johnie Loyce Abernathy

Johnie Loyce Abernathy, 77, Blair, passed away on Monday, July 18, 2016 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Wednesday, July 27, 2016 at the Kincannon Memorial Chapel with Bishop Christopher Haines officiating. Burial will follow in the Blair Cemetery under the direction of the Kincannon Funeral Home.
Johnie was born on February 1, 1939 in Palmersville, Tennessee to Johnie Lee and Virginia Delitha (Gunter) Abernathy. He served in the US Air Force from 1958 until 1962. Johnie married Jane Anne Davis in Vernon, Texas on October 2, 1959. He worked for Ralph's Grocery in Los Angeles, California and retired after more than 20 years. Johnie was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and in his spare time loved to play golf.
His parents, wife and a granddaughter, Eryn Jane Abernathy, preceded him in death.
Survivors include his children, Theresa Rodriguez, Cindy Abernathy, Lance Abernathy and his wife, Carmel, and Virginia Abernathy; 7 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; and a sister, Lana Chiarolla and her husband, Bobby.
