Norma Lackey Stermer, 99, Hollis, passed away on Friday, October 7, 2016 in Lubbock, Texas. Graveside services will be 2:00 PM Wednesday, October 12, 2016 in Fairmount Cemetery in Hollis. Interment is under the direction of the Kincannon Funeral Home.
Norma Gladys Walker was born on July 28, 1917 in Hollis, Oklahoma to Amos and Altie Bagwell Walker. She grew up in Hollis and attended local schools. Norma married Don Lackey on February 16, 1935 in Hollis, Oklahoma. Don passed away in 1976. She then married John Stermer in 1987 in Altus, Oklahoma. Norma had several jobs, but mostly enjoyed her work at the Hollis Nursing home. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, crocheting, fishing and gardening.
She is preceded in death by both of her husbands; her parents; a daughter, Karen Sue; a son, Donald Ray; two grandsons, Lan & Loy Lackey.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Lannie & Barbara Lackey; daughter-in-law, Janice Lackey; five grandchildren, Lana, Donnie, Michael, Danny and Ryan; nine great grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren.
