Patricia Sue "Patty" Brown

Patricia Sue "Patty" Brown, 72, Altus, passed away on Saturday, January 9, 2016 in Edmond, Oklahoma. Funeral services will be 10:00 AM Thursday, January 14, 2016 in the Kincannon Memorial Chapel with Rev. Andrew Young and Rev. Marlon Sparks officiating. Burial will follow in the Altus City Cemetery under the direction of the Kincannon Funeral Home.
Patricia Sue Cook was born February 3, 1943 in Pampa, Texas to Oswald and Treva (Bratton) Cook. She had 4 siblings, Barbara, Charles, Joyce and Deana. She attended all of her school years in Pampa, Texas graduating with the class of 1961. Patty was saved at a very young age and enjoyed serving the Lord all of her life. After high school Patty attended Midwest Bible Institute in Webb City, Missouri. This was a very special time in her life that she spoke about often.
Patty returned to Pampa, Texas where she attended the Pampa School of Cosmetology. Patty was married to Marvin Brown in 1967. Marvin brought a special gift to their marriage, that being a daughter, Tallie Delene. Patty always said that she had three children. Tallie was a delight. Patty and Marvin moved to Shattuck, Oklahoma where Ramona Gail and Monte Leon were born. Patty used her talent and cosmetology degree in the Beauty business for more than 15 years. After she retired from the Beauty business she worked as a cook in the Shattuck school cafeterias and the kids loved her cooking especially her homemade rolls.
Later they moved to Altus, Oklahoma where she was the Head Cook for Lincoln Head Start for several years. She retired in 2007 and Patty and Marvin moved to Foss Lake, Oklahoma where they stayed for six wonderful years before returning to Altus. Patty was a member of the Church of the Nazarene where she served in many different areas of the church. Patty has blessed many people with her service and angelic voice in her church.
She is survived by her two daughters, Tallie Stubbs and husband, Chris, of Oklahoma City, OK and Ramona "Mona" Kitterman and husband, Donnie, of Gage, OK; a son, Monte Brown and wife, Katie, of Altus, OK; six grandchildren, Christen Haller and husband, Jim, Tonya Chaney, Braxton Brown, Bradin Calvert, BreAuna Calvert and Logan Brown; two great grandchildren, Sara Chaney and Annabelle Haller; three sisters, Barbara Fleming and husband, Jim, of Crawley, TX, Joyce Engler and husband, Stuart, of Ponca City, OK and Deana Cook of Shattuck, OK; nieces, Cathy, Carla, Cheryl, Heather, Brittany, Morgan, Valerie and Cherie; nephews, David and Charles Curtis, and other relatives and friends. Patty’s family was very important to her and she loved each and every one dearly.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 PM Wednesday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the First Church of the Nazarene Building Fund, 1320 Frisco, Clinton, OK 73601.
Additional parking for the service is available behind the funeral home, Best Western to the South or Western Sizzlin’ to the North.
