Sherry Baze, 49, Altus, passed away, Thursday, July 28, 2016 at Plantation Village Nursing Home. A Celebration of Life service has been scheduled for 10:00 AM, Saturday, July 30, 2016 at the Kincannon Memorial Chapel with Rev Ruben Ybarra officiating. Cremation and services have been entrusted to Kincannon Funeral Home.
Sherry Louise Baze was born on October 24, 1966 to Truman and Mary (Keck) Baze in Altus, Oklahoma. She attended school in Walters and graduated from Altus High School in 1984. Sherry worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant at Grace Living Center for fifteen years and then worked at Jackson County Memorial Hospital for twenty eight years. She was of the Christian faith and enjoyed her calling as a caregiver and reading her Bible. The joys of her life were her children and grandchildren.
Sherry is preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Richard Baze and her high school sweetheart, Preston Wayne Hopkins.
She leaves behind her daughter, Amanda Rodriguez and her husband, Moses; son, Eric Baze; six grandchildren, Aliza, Carleigh, Sarena, Jaelynn, Jazlynn and Ava; four aunts, Jewel Green, Francis Bigford, Barbara Gilley, Joy Anderson and husband, Phil; two uncles, Donnie Keck and Bob Gilley; a niece, Shelby Turner; a nephew, Kyle Baze; two sisters-in-law, Dede Baze and Sheila Caine; many friends, cousins and other relatives.
Additional parking for the service is available behind the funeral home, Days Inn to the South and Western Sizzlin' to the North.
