Sue Stockton was born, Joyce Sue Davis, on June 23, 1930 in Hollis, Oklahoma to Henry and Ethel (Sargent) Davis. She married Lawrence Jackson "Jack" Stockton and the two farmed and reared their children in Mangum, Oklahoma for many years, where Sue opened her first Sue’s Antiques shop which became her passion and her hobby. In 1971 they sold their farms, moved to Altus and built Stockton Laundromat which opened in 1972 and became a friendly stopping place for many military and local citizens who were welcomed with open arms. She became “grandma” to many children who now live all over the world. She also ran her Sue’s Antiques and for a few years owned Sue’s Beauty Shop. After Jack’s back injury she continued to operate the laundromat by herself for many years. She was still doing bundle laundries and operating her businesses by herself at the age of 80 when she was forced to retire. Through the years many passed through and many hearts were touched by her many smiles and warm hugs. Many heard her welcoming “Hi Darlin” or “How are you Sweetheart”. She was a member of First Baptist Church where she taught preschoolers in Sunday School for many, many years.

Sue was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Jack; her parents, Henry and Ethyl Davis; six sisters; Annabelle Gable, Mattie Hawkins, Pauline Bills, Wilma Rogers, Edna Fae Stockton and Dorothy Hamilton; and her three brothers; Edward, Billy Joe and Cecil Davis.

She is survived by her sister, Pat Greco; three much loved daughters, Vicki Moser and husband,
