Abelino Olguin, 70, longtime Eldorado resident, passed away peacefully on Monday, August 6, 2018 at his home in Blanchard, Oklahoma. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM, Friday, August 10, 2018 at the Corinth Baptist Church, Northwest of Eldorado, with Rev. Mark Farr and Rev. Ricky Crouch officiating. Burial will follow in the Eldorado Cemetery under the direction of Kincannon Funeral Home and Cremation Service.
Abelino Olguin was born on April 10, 1948 to Abelino and Catarina (Resendiz) Olguin in Noxthey Tasquillo Hidalgo, Mexico. Abelino and Victoria Resendiz were united in marriage on October 7, 1982 in Ozona, Texas. Abelino attended school in Mexico. In his youth, Abelino was a construction worker in Mexico City where he was part of the crews that worked on the Aztec Stadium and skyscrapers; he was a rancher in charge of hundreds of head of cattle, sheep and goats in southern Texas; then worked for the City of Eldorado from 1984 until his retirement in 2011. He built his own hobby farm / ranch where he liked spending his free time. Abelino attended Corinth Baptist Church and enjoyed working with horses, cattle, animals of all kinds and ranching. He loved his family above all else and will be sorely missed.
Abelino was preceded in death by his parents, father and mother in law and an infant son.
Survivors include his wife, Victoria, of the home; four daughters, Gloria Krueger and husband, Jeremy; Maria Olivia Olguin; Hilaria Mejia and husband, Jose; Patricia Fuentes and husband Leonel; six sons, Francisco Olguin and wife, Adrianne; Abelino Olguin; Noel Olguin; Adam Olguin; Domingo Olguin; and Federico Olguin.; 16 grandchildren, Rocio, Josephina, Antonia, Jackie, Jenny, Itzel, Leo, Jeffery, Preston, Gabriel, Noah, Elijah, Kalyn, Elaina, Katarina, and Zachariah; great grandchildren, Jose David, Christian, Mia, Jason, Michael and many friends. The Olguin family will greet friends Thursday evening from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Kincannon Funeral Home Eldorado Chapel. Online tributes may be made at kincannonfuneralhome.com
