Barry L. Ballard, 68, Altus, passed away on Monday, March 4, 2019 at the Plantation Village Nursing Home. Private family memorial services will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of the Kincannon Funeral Home and Cremation Service.
Barry L. Ballard was born on October 22, 1950 in Altus, Oklahoma to Monroe and Omega (McCall) Ballard. He grew up in Duke, Oklahoma and graduated in 1968. He married Marlene McCallay in 1975 and then Shelly Goss in 1990. Barry graduated from the Southwest Technology Center with his Licensed Practical Nurse certificate. He worked as a Licensed Practical Nurse for area home health agencies. Barry was of the Christian faith and enjoyed coyote hunting, dominoes, and watching baseball and softball.
His parents and a brother, Lyndon Ballard, preceded him in death.
Survivors include a daughter, Jessica Goss; a son, Lynn Ballard; two grandchildren, Madison and Brooke Ballard; and a brother, Noble Ballard, MD and his wife, Suzanne.
