Betty Ragsdale, 83, passed away early Friday morning at her home in Altus. Funeral services have been scheduled for 10 a.m. Monday, March 30, 2015 at the Kincannon Memorial Chapel with Rev. Doug Altom officiating. Burial will follow in the Altus City Cemetery under the direction of Kincannon Funeral Home. Betty Ann Williams was born on August 26, 1931 to Tommy and Alverda (Pennington) Williams in Hollis, OK. She attended Ron School and graduated from Hollis High School in 1950. Betty and Kent Ragsdale were united in marriage on October 6, 1950 in Ft. Polk, LA. Betty was a homemaker her entire life. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, and was a member of the Altus First Baptist Church. Betty is preceded in death by her parents, Tommy and Alverda Williams, and one sister, Mary Beth Lee. She leaves behind her husband, Virgil Kent Ragsdale of the home; two daughters, Cathy Ann Froelich and husband, Doug, of Altus, OK and Madison Ann Ragsdale of Altus, OK; one son, Wayne Alan Ragsdale and wife, Lisa; her grandchildren, Alisa Martin and Michael Froelich; and one great grandchild, Lilly Martin; three brothers, Thomas Williams, James Williams and Lynn Williams; and a sister, Kay Gurley. Betty lived a very full life, touching many people along the way. The Ragsdale family will greet friends Sunday afternoon from 3 to 5 p.m. at Kincannon Funeral Home. Additional parking for the service is available behind the funeral home, Best Western to the South or Western Sizzlin’ to the North.
