Bobby Glenn Smith, Sr.

Bobby Glenn Smith, Sr., 76, passed away at his home in Altus, Monday, December 17, 2018. Memorial services have been scheduled for 2:00 PM, Thursday, December 20, 2018 at the Friendship Baptist Church with Jim Brown officiating. Services were entrusted to Kincannon Funeral Home and Cremation Service.
Bobby was born October 6, 1942 to Sam and Ola (Shipley) Smith in Lawton, Oklahoma. He attended Altus public schools. Bobby and Donna Russell
were united in marriage on June 2, 1964 in Vernon, Texas and to this union two children were born. Bobby was a maintenance technician at Jackson County Memorial Hospital for many years. He enjoyed dirt track racing, OU football and Thunder basketball. Bobby was a member of the Friendship Baptist Church and he loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
Bobby is preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Wanda Houston, Sue York, and Joann Chester; brothers, Junior Smith, Charles Ray Smith and Gene Smith.
He leaves behind his loving wife, Donna; daughter, Denise Thornton and husband Dean; son, Bobby Smith, Jr; grandchildren, Lauren and Charles Belcher, Taylor and Katie Thornton, and Shelby and Clint Lucus; great grandchildren, Ava and Railen Belcher. He also leaves behind sisters, Barbara Blankenship and husband David and Linda Tidwell, as well as special friends, Richard Thompson, and Scott and Michelle Roudebush, and Danaca and Reagin Roudebush.
The Smith family will greet friends Wednesday, December 19, 2018 from 6:00 to 7:00 PM, at the Kincannon Gathering Room.
