Catherine Frances Chahanovich

Catherine Frances Chahanovich, 74, Altus, passed away on Thursday, November 28, 2019 at Magnolia Creek Nursing Home. The family will host a memorial reception from 4:00 - 7:00 PM Monday, December 2, 2019 at the Kincannon Funeral Home. Arrangements are under the direction of the Kincannon Funeral Home and Cremation Service.

Catherine Frances Dudley was born on September 16, 1945 in Calais, Maine to Gerald, Sr. and Lillian (Colwell) Dudley. She attended Shead Memorial High School in Eastport, Maine and graduated as a 1st Honor Part in 1963. She then attended St. Stephen Nursing School in New Brunswick, Canada and graduated as the valedictorian of her class. Catherine worked as a registered nurse for over 40 years. She served as an operating room nurse for various hospitals, was the supervisor for the Jackson County Memorial Home Care, and the Director of Nursing for Wilbarger General Hospital Home Care. Catherine enjoyed crocheting and working in her yard and in the house. Her greatest joy came from spending time with her grandchildren.

Her parents, a stepdaughter, Kelley Burkholder, three brothers, Gerald, Jr., Stephen and Larry Dudley, and stepmother, Shirley Dudley, preceded her in death.

Survivors include three children, Caryn Chahanovich, Beth Rogers and Troy Chahanovich and wife, Tina; several grandchildren including Jessica Chahanovich, Whitney and Nicholas Vinson, and Michael Rogers; a great granddaughter, Ella Lewey; two sisters, Elaine Spinney and husband, Ron, and Linda Dudley; and a brother, Brian Dudley.
