Christopher Michael Bennett, 38, Altus, died Saturday, July 20, 2013 at Jackson County Memorial Hospital. Celebration of Life services will be 10 a.m. Thursday, July 25, 2013 at Kincannon Funeral Home. Burial will follow services at the Blair Cemetery under the direction of Kincannon Funeral Home. Christopher was born on January 29, 1975 in Altus, Oklahoma to Michael Christopher and Awilda Beth (Stayton) Bennett. He graduated from Altus High School in 1995. He was a computer science and physics major at Western Oklahoma State College in Altus, where he also served during the 2012 – 2013 school year as officer of public relations for the Phi Theta Kappa honor society. He had plans to further his education in computer programming at Cameron University in Lawton, Oklahoma. Christopher married Denise Iannone on May 23, 2012 in Hobart, Oklahoma. They had been together for seventeen years. He enjoyed computer programming and game programming. He was especially attached to his cat “Erasmus”. Christopher was preceded in death by his father and two uncles, Richard N. and John D. Stayton. He was survived by his wife, Denise, of Altus, OK; three brothers, Andrew Stickney and wife, Gwen, of Nacogdoches, TX, Les Stickney, Jr. of Lawton, OK, and Michael Christopher Bennett, II of California; one sister, Elizabeth Stickney Swain and husband, Mike, of Altus, OK; mother and stepfather, Awilda Beth Stickney and husband, Leslie, of Altus, OK; his mother-in-law, Lisa Ludy-Brown of Plano, TX; a brother-in-law, Matthew Iannone of Plano, TX; his grandparents, Billy R. and Wanda Stayton of Altus, Oklahoma; and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
