Deborah Kay (Pelt) Mobley

Deborah Kay (Pelt) Mobley, 61, Altus, passed away peacefully at home, Sunday, February 4, 2018 surrounded by family. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Thursday, February 8, 2018 at the Kincannon Memorial Chapel with Barry James officiating. Burial will follow services at the Headrick Cemetery under the direction of Kincannon Funeral Home and Cremation Service.
Deborah was born July 21, 1956 as a twin daughter to Lorenzo and Evelyn Pelt. She grew up with two brothers and three sisters. She attended Navajo High School and graduated in 1974. She joined the United States Air Force in June of 1976 and was honorably discharged in July of 1983. She was married many years before coming home to Oklahoma. Deborah had one son, Chris, and two daughters, Shannon and Heather. She worked at Altus Air Force Base as a KC-135 scheduler before being promoted to Plans and Scheduling Supervisor for 21 years. She enjoyed fishing, working in her yard, reading, and she loved her TV shows.
Deborah loved her family tremendously just as they loved her. She had the biggest heart and was always willing to help anyone in need. Her contagious laughter could fill any room and brought joy to all around her. She was an incredible mother, amazing sister, adored Nana, beautiful daughter, and a dear friend. She will be greatly missed and forever loved.
Deborah was preceded in death by her parents, Lorenzo and Evelyn Pelt, oldest sister, Barbara Gore; her nephew, Jody Gore; and nephew, Jeffrey Abernathy.
She is survived by her son, Christopher Paul Mobley and wife, Melinda; two daughters, Shannon Carol Butzer and husband, Blake, and Heather Lynn Mobley and fiancé, Chris; eight grandchildren, Jessie, Chelsea, Trevor, Abigail, Ethan, Tristen, Jakkson and Rylan; two brothers, Otis Pelt and wife, Donna, and Michael Pelt and wife, Denise; sister, Diana Combs and husband, Mike; and twin sister, Sharon Dunn and husband, Rick. She also leaves a host of cousins, nieces, nephews and other loved ones.
