Debra L. Benningfield, 71, Martha, passed away at her home on Saturday, November 6, 2021. Memorial services will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the care of the Kincannon Funeral Home and Cremation Service.
Debra L. Merrill was born on October 2, 1950 in Bishop, California to Douglas and Frances (Schuler) Merrill. She married James Benningfield on May 24, 1999 in Apache Junction, Arizona. She lived in various states throughout her life, but her fondest memories were made in Washington, where she resided for many years. She worked for Rite-Aid and retired as an assistant manager. Debra enjoyed cooking, reading, traveling and animals. She also enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Debra was preceded in death by her husband; father; a daughter, Jaime Nelson; and a brother, Fred Merrill.
She is survived by her daughters, Lynda Karr and husband, John, and Lisa Bell and husband, Forrest; stepchildren, Sheena, Katie, James, Lisa, and Shawn; four grandchildren, Aime Cole, Walt Reno, Brian Nelson, and Tanner Nelson; 24 great grandchildren; her mother, Fran Merrill; a sister, Laura Herrick; sister-in-law, Isla Dodd; and a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Leslie and Dawn Benningfield; and many cherished co-workers and friends.
