Donald Meeks

Donald Ray Meeks, 77, Altus, passed away on August 9, 2021 at the Comanche County Memorial Hospital. Memorial services will be 7:00 PM Saturday, August 14, 2021 at the Templo Jardin Del Eden, 200 ‘D’ Street, Olustee, Oklahoma. A viewing for Mr. Meeks will be from 12:00 – 8:00 PM Thursday, August 12, 2021 at the Kincannon Funeral Home. Cremation services are under the care of Kincannon Funeral Home and Cremation Services.

Donald Ray Meeks was born on June 27, 1943 in Henrietta, Texas to Melvin and Mattie (Satterfield) Meeks. He graduated high school from Henrietta High School and enlisted in the United States Marine Corps immediately after. Donald served during Vietnam and was honorably discharged after his time in service. After his service to the Marines, Donald became employed as an Air Traffic Control Officer for the United States Government, spending many years in the Anchorage, Alaska area.

Donald was preceded in death by his parents.

Donald is survived by his son, Jake Meeks; a brother, Glynn Meeks; and a special friend, Jessica Basaldua.
