Eleanor D. Burkleo

July 2, 1944 - January 31, 2022

Eleanor Darlene Burkleo, 77, Altus, passed away Monday, January 31, 2022 at Magnolia Creek Skilled Nursing and Therapy Center. A Celebration of Life Memorial service was held a short time later by the family. Cremation has been provided by Kincannon Funeral Home and Cremation Service. Eleanor was born July 2, 1944 in San Fernando, California to Ted and Edna (Dipple) Calaway. She attended school in Fresno, California and married Daniel Burkleo August 28, 1964 in Monterey, California. She was an apartment manager in Seaside, California for 19 years and was very civic minded, serving on the Seaside City Council and as Vice Mayor. Eleanor enjoyed playing bingo and traveling in their 5th wheel. Eleanor was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, James Burkleo; and her daughter-in-law, Mary Burkleo. She is survived by her husband, Daniel; daughter, Sheri Cogill; two sons, Michael Burkleo; and Steven Burkleo; a brother, Ted Callaway; and a sister, Linda Johnson and partner, Carol; twelve grandchildren, list the here; and many friends.
