Elias Rosalez

Elias Rosalez,83, passed away at his home in Blair on Tuesday, June 21, 2016. Funeral services have been scheduled for 10:00 AM, Friday, June 24, 2016 at the Fuente De Salvacion Church, west of Altus, with Alfredo Montes and Frank Maldonado officiating. Burial will follow in the Blair Cemetery under the direction of the Kincannon Funeral Home.

Elias was born on April 17, 1933 in Charco, Texas to Ascencion and Francisca (Montes) Rosalez . Elias and Hortensia Pena were united in marriage on September 9, 1961 in Altus, OK. Elias was a Warrior for Christ and serving God was his first priority. He loved singing, praising and worshiping God. He loved his family and would often tell stories about his family. Visits from his children and grandchildren were always highlights to his day.

Elias is preceded in death by his parents, a daughter, Lucy Rosalez; three brothers, Pablo, Emilio and Ruperto Rosalez, and a sister, Trinida Saldivar.

He leaves behind his wife, Hortensia, of the home; three daughters, Olga P. Cannon, Melinda Morris and Becki Pizani; three sons, Elias, Jr., Mario and Thomas Rosalez; a stepdaughter, Sara Winarski; two stepsons, Marcello Lara, Jr., and Reynaldo Gutierrez; sister, Agrora Magoon; and many other family and friends.

Mr. Rosalez may be viewed at the Fuente de Salvacion Church, west of Altus and the family will greet friends from 6:00 - 8:00 PM Thursday, June 23, at the church.
