Franklin Louis Surles, 65, passed away at his home in Altus on Wednesday, October 2, 2019. Graveside services have been scheduled for 2:00 PM Monday, October 7, 2019 at the Altus City Cemetery with Anthony Lester officiating. Services have been entrusted to the Kincannon Funeral Home and Cremation Service.
Franklin Louis Surles was born on June 10, 1954 to George and Billie June (Hayhurst) Surles in Raton, New Mexico. He graduated from high school in Phillips, Texas. He enjoyed digging for artifacts, studying Indian culture and walking.
Frank is preceded in death by his mother and two sisters, Amanda Henning and Peggy Payne. He leaves behind his daughter, Peggy Day and husband, Michael; two grandchildren; father, George Surles, Sr.; and a brother, George Surles, Jr. and wife, Franka.
