Guadalupe Reyes Garcia, 90, Altus, passed away on Thursday, May 21, 2015 at the Plantation Village Nursing Home. Funeral services have been scheduled for 2:00 PM, Tuesday, May 26, 2015 at the Kincannon Memorial Chapel. Burial will follow in the Olustee Cemetery under the direction of the Kincannon Funeral Home.
Guadalupe was born on August 27, 1924 in Tivoli, Texas to Feliciano and Francisca (Reyes) Valadez. She married Oscar Garcia on October 2, 1948 in Memphis, Texas. She was of the Catholic faith and enjoyed cooking, gardening, makeup and sewing by hand.
Her parents; husband; a brother, Reymund Suniga; sister, Juanita Contreras; grandson Pedro Castillo, Jr.; granddaughter, Kathy Wiseman and son-in-law Pedro Castillo, Sr. preceded her in death.
Survivors include her daughter, Sylvia Castillo; grandchildren, Rick Castillo and wife Betty, John Castillo and wife Cheryl, Marty Castillo and wife Tami, Angela Tokarski and husband Timothy, Julie Richardson and Mary Mullican; great- grandchildren, Jennifer, Brandon, Spencer, Albany, Kymberlin, Trea, Clay, Chase, Sean, EJ, Trace, Mikayla, Mikel, Ryliegh, Ryan, Samantha, Allison and Adriana; great-great grandchildren Colby, Cody, Payton, Coltyn and Kayson. She also leaves behind one brother Daniel Suniga of Altus, OK and sisters Guadalupe Ramirez of Olustee, OK, Dominga Martinez of Altus, OK and Candelarla Vargas of Amarillo, TX.
Viewing times will be on Sunday from 1:00 - 5:00 PM and Tuesday from 8:00 AM until service time. The family requests that there will be no viewing on Memorial Day at the funeral home.
Additional parking for the service is available behind the funeral home, Best Western to the South or Western Sizzlin’ to the North.
