Gwynneth F. Marvle, 72, Altus, passed away at her home Saturday, April 4, 2015. Graveside services will be held 1 p.m. Wednesday, April 8, 2015 at the Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery West of Lawton, Oklahoma under the direction of Kincannon Funeral Home. Gwynneth Faye Bentley was born December 2, 1942 in Hollis, Oklahoma to Raymond D. and Marjorie O. (Henson) Bentley. She had attended schools in Hollis and Lawton. After marrying and having two children at a very young age, she went back to school to finish her education and later got a divorce. She married a young GI named Johnny Marvle in June of 1964 in Lawton, Oklahoma and added a third child to her family. In the 1960's she cut hair for all the young GI's in Lawton, where she also washed, starched, and sewed patches on their uniforms. Gwynn also made all her families' clothes. Johnny's military career took them all over the world. In Fort Hood, Texas she worked at the Levi plant making jeans. In Kaiserslautern, Germany she was a Librarian on the military base. While living in Europe she also enjoyed touring castles and wineries in Germany and France. In Colorado Springs, Colorado she managed 7 - 11 stores. After returning to Lawton, she helped to manage her father's business, "A&B Plumbing Heat and Air" on 2nd Street. In 1980, she took an H&R Block tax course, where she graduated at the top of her class. Gwynn then chose the tax profession as a life-long career, working with H&R Block for over 35 years. She worked at the H&R Block offices in Lawton for many years and eventually became a Licensed Tax School instructor and the "E-File Manager". Gwynn was promoted to District Manager and Satellite Franchise Director in the Enid, Oklahoma District. Following her husband Johnny's death in 1995, Gwynn was promoted to Assistant Franchise Director of Western Oklahoma and moved to Oklahoma City. She later moved to Altus to become the manager of the H&R Block office, where her daughter Cindy is currently the franchise owner. Gwynn also taught many tax classes over the years in Altus. Gwynn was of the Christian faith, enjoyed gardening, fishing, traveling and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Gwynn was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and her brother, Danny Bentley. She is survived by two daughters, Cindy Santos and husband, Hector, of Altus, OK; Lynnelle Rivera and partner, J.R. George, of Apache, OK; one son, Sidney Lacy and wife, Darlene, of Elgin,OK; eleven grandchildren, Teresa Carman and husband, William, Pauline Lacy, Luis Rivera and wife, Tabitha, Johnny Rivera, Raymond Santos, Patrick Heyden, Harley George, Shannon Lytle, Sarah Lytle, Jeffrey Butler and Jason Butler; nine great grandchildren and many friends.
