Helen Louise Cohn, 73, Altus, passed away at her home on Wednesday, December 9, 2015. Celebration of Life Services will be 11:00 AM Monday, December 14, 2015 at the Kincannon Memorial Chapel with Mark Morey and Kelli McGuire officiating. Services have been entrusted to the care of the Kincannon Funeral Home.
Helen was born on January 3, 1942 in Newark, New Jersey to John Christy and Matilda (Delaney) Minard. She grew up in New York and served in the US Navy. Helen married Paul David Cohn on February 24, 1977 in Dover, Delaware. He passed away on July 9, 2009. She was an active member of the First Christian Church, the ABATE Motorcycle Group and Toastmasters. She also volunteered as a "Pink Lady" for the Jackson County Memorial Hospital Auxiliary, the Literacy Council and the JCMH Hospice.
Her husband, parents and an aunt and uncle preceded her in death.
Survivors include her stepdaughter, Dawn Jensen and husband, Timothy, of Canandaigua, NY, and their kids, Charlie and Lily; and many friends.
Additional parking for the service is available behind the funeral home, Best Western to the South or Western Sizzlin’ to the North.
