Homer E. Norris

Homer Elmer Norris, 81, Altus, passed away on Thursday, December 3, 2015 in Lawton, Oklahoma. Funeral services will be 10:00 AM Tuesday, December 8, 2015 in the Kincannon Memorial Chapel with Frank Norris officiating. Burial with full military honors will be in the Altus City Cemetery under the direction of the Kincannon Funeral Home.
Homer was born on September 29, 1934 in Delaware, Oklahoma to Raymond and Blanche May (Elder) Norris. He graduated from high school in Jay, Oklahoma. Homer married Maryellen Stryminski in Altus, Oklahoma in 1978. He served in the United States Air Force for more than twenty years and retired as a Master Sergeant. He was a member of the VFW and was of the Baptist faith. Homer enjoyed fishing and working on cars.
His parents, wife, a sister and a brother, preceded him in death.
Survived by two sons, Gorden Norris and wife, Kathy, and Frank Norris and wife, Kimberly; a daughter, Elaine Henry and husband, Bill; a stepson, Thaddeus Stryminski; two stepdaughters, Jeannine Hoy and Jennifer Cobb; and 12 grandchildren. He is also survived by his friend and companion, Maria Derruisseaux.
Additional parking for the service is available behind the funeral home, Best Western to the South or Western Sizzlin’ to the North.
