Ila Lorene "Rene" Southall

Ila Lorene "Rene" Southall, 88, Blair, passed away Tuesday, June 28, 2016 at Jackson County Memorial Hospital. Funeral services have been scheduled for 2:00 PM, Friday, July 1, 2016 at the Tamarack Road
Church of Christ with Clint Burns officiating. Burial will follow in the Blair Cemetery under the direction of Kincannon Funeral Home.
Ila Lorene Ward was born to Thomas and Bonnie (Harris) Ward on August 10, 1927 in Blair, Oklahoma. She graduated from Blair High School in 1945. Rene and Windle Southall were united in marriage on November 2, 1945 in Vernon, Texas. To this union, four children were born. She worked for Civil Service from the mid 1960's to the mid 1980's. She was a member of the Tamarack Road Church of Christ. Rene enjoyed working on puzzles, crosswords, watching Thunder basketball and going to garage sales. She loved her family dearly and cherished every moment she spent with them.
Rene is preceded in death by her parents, Tom and Bonnie Ward, husband, Windle Southall, a son, Terry Southall, three sisters, WynNelle McMillin, Bonnie Lou Simpson and Murldean Rice, and one brother, DeWitt Ward.
She is survived by her daughter, Sheryl James and husband, Kyle; sons, Mike Southall and wife, Carol, and David Southall and wife, Dana; and one daughter-in-law, Brenda Southall. She also leaves behind sixteen grandchildren, Jeff Southall and wife, Amy, Brad Southall and wife, Sheffield, Lori Jennings, Matthew Southall, Sommer Prothro and husband, Mike, Ashlei Collier and husband, Jason, Jenna Dodson and husband, Denney, Reece Cunningham and wife, Landee, Krystal Richardson and husband, Clint, Michelle Castillo and husband, Noe, Nicki Southall, TeAnn Trevino, Cody James, Casey James and wife, Lacey, KJ James and his wife, Shelby, and Kylee James; thirty great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; and many friends.
The Southall family will greet friends from 6:00 to 8:00PM, Thursday evening at the Kincannon Gathering Room.
