Ira “Fred” Willis, 80, passed away Friday, August 7, 2020 at his home in Altus. A private family service will take place at a later date. Burial in the Victory Cemetery was under the direction of the Kincannon Funeral Home and Cremation Service.

Fred was born on January 31, 1940 to Edwin Franklin and Dorothy Ann (Rogers) Willis in Altus, Oklahoma. Fred served his country in the United States Army where he was stationed at Fort Sill, Oklahoma and was a veteran of the Korean War. After his service in the Army he worked as a print setter for a newspaper. Fred went to school and studied HVAC and continued this occupation for more than forty years and owned and operated Willis Refrigeration. He was a former member of the Central Baptist Church. Fred enjoyed cooking and loved spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Fred is preceded in death by his parents, wife, Liz Abila, brother, Robert Willis, and stepson, Armando Abila.

He leaves behind sons, Steven Glen Willis and wife, Julie, and Bryan Lewis; stepchildren, Rachel Goswick, Paulette Hernandez, Adolph Abila, Paul Abila, Jr. and Reuben Abila; grandchildren, Tiffany Willis, Steven Joe Willis, Justin Willis and wife, Maribel, Jessica May and husband, Matt, Nathaniel Lewis, Bryan Lewis, Jr., and Adrian Lewis; great grandchildren, Ty, TJ, Brooklyn, Bronx, Rawlins, Stevie, Raylon, Champ, Gracie and Eloisa; siblings, Jimmy Willis, Jesse Willis and wife, Dee, Karen Arthur and husband, John, Don Willis, Roger Willis and wife, Andrea, Larry Willis and wife, Linda, John Willis and wife, Jammie. He also leaves many other family and friends.
