James Emanuel Buentello

James Emanuel Buentello, 12, Altus, passed away on Saturday, June 8, 2019 in Lawton, Oklahoma due to injuries from a car accident. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Saturday, June 15, 2019 in the Kincannon Memorial Chapel with Rev. Suzanne Mollison officiating. Burial will follow in the Altus City Cemetery under the direction of the Kincannon Funeral Home and Cremation Service.

James was born on November 21, 2006 in Lawton, Oklahoma to Jaime and Dawn (Kidwell) Buentello. He just finished 6th grade at the Altus Intermediate School and was looking forward to going to Altus Junior High and playing football. He enjoyed swimming, reading, jiu jitsu and video games, including Fortnite and Roblox. James was a mischievous character but was loving and selfless at the same time. He loved playing and being around his family most of all.

His aunt, Kristi Kidwell, preceded him in death.

Survivors include his parents, Jaime and Dawn Buentello; his brother, Jacob Kidwell and wife, Tatum; his sister, Jenna Buentello; grandparents, Mario and Elena Buentello and Jon and Billye Kidwell; aunts and uncles, Rolando Buentello and wife, Cindy, Mario Buentello, Jr. and wife, Ashley, and Jill Chafin and husband, Jim; cousins, Savannah, Miranda, Triston, Paul, Arianna and Rhea; and a host of other cousins, great aunts and great uncles.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 PM Friday at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Altus Intermediate School Library or to the AIS Battle of the Books. You may contact the Altus Intermediate School or the Altus Board of Education.
