James Joe "JT" Thompson

James Joe "JT" Thompson, 84, Altus, passed away on Sunday, October 14, 2018 at his home. Memorial services will be 2:00 PM Saturday, October 20, 2018 at the Kincannon Memorial Chapel with Rev. Jason Duree officiating. Cremation and service are under the care of the Kincannon Funeral Home and Cremation Service.
James Joe Thompson was born on November 2, 1933 in Roosevelt, Oklahoma to Burns and Arlee (Hatfield) Thompson. He graduated from Altus High School with the class of 1953. JT worked for Woods Grocery and the Base Commissary. He retired as the commissary produce manager after more than 30 years. He was a lifetime member of the VFW and an OU football fan.
His parents, four sisters, Carrie Martin, Ruby Smith, Bonnie Kidd and Sue White, and two brothers, Raymond and Don Thompson, preceded him in death.
Survivors include his brother, Kenneth Thompson and wife, Wanda; a sister, Shawnna Kozak; brother-in-law, Joe Kidd; a sister-in-law, Connie Thompson; a special friend, Maggie Moreno; and several nieces and nephews.
