SSG Jeffrey Paul Reuter, United States Army, 38, and Jennifer Ann “Charlie” Reuter, 40, of Fort Lee, Virginia, passed away on Friday, June 21, 2013. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 2, 2013 at the Kincannon Memorial Chapel with Chaplain Stanton Trotter and Rev. Mick Mounce officiating. Burial with full military honors will follow in the Altus City Cemetery under the direction of the Kincannon Funeral Home. Jeffrey Paul Reuter was born on September 5, 1974 in Altus, Oklahoma to David and Mary (Fouts) Reuter. He attended Altus Public Schools and graduated at Altus High School, Class of 1993. Jennifer was born on November 5, 1972 in St. Petersburg, FL to Eric Lee and Cynthia Hope (Haakinson) Bohnstedt. She attended schools in many places and graduated from Zweibrucken High School in Germany. Jeffrey married Jennifer on May 11, 1994 in Altus, Oklahoma. He enlisted in the United States Army and was stationed at Fort Lee, Virginia. Jeffrey was preceded in death by grandparents, Delmer and Sylvia Fouts, and Ivor Reuter. Jennifer was preceded in death by her father, Eric Lee Bohnstedt, grandparents, Beauford and Phyllis Haakinson, and a cousin, Johnathan Haakinson. They are survived by their children, Hailey Bohnstedt Reuter of Huntsville, AL, and Jordan Ryan Reuter, Avery Tyler Reuter, Keagan Riley Reuter, and Ian Henry Reuter, all of Fort Lee, VA. Jeffrey is also survived by his parents, David and Mary Reuter of Altus, OK; his grandmother, Madeline Reuter of Spencer, IA; two brothers, Mike Reuter and wife, Tammi, of Altus, OK, and Mark Reuter and wife, Rhonda of Altus, OK; two nephews, Mikail and Cody; four nieces, Mikayla, Mackenzie, Mikendall and Kristi; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Jennifer is also survived by her mother, Cynthia Hope Haulman and husband, John, of Tarpon Springs, FL; her grandmother, Betty Bohnstedt, of St. Petersburg, FL; one brother David Glenn “Bubba” Johnston, II and wife, Jillian, of Glendale, AZ; one sister, Reannon “Sammie” Johnston and her fiancé, Edgar Gariby, of Queens Creek, AZ; three nephews, Ethan, Reese, and John; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 PM Monday, July 1, 2013 at the funeral home. Additional parking for the services is available behind the funeral home, Best Western to the south and at Western Sizzlin’ to the north.
