Juanita "Janie" Marceleno

July 22, 1939 — June 22, 2018

Juanita "Janie" Marceleno, 78, Altus, passed away on June 22, 2018 at English Village Manor. A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 21, 2018 in the First Baptist Church Activities Building in Altus, Oklahoma. Cremation and arrangements are under the direction of the Kincannon Funeral Home and Cremation Service.

Juanita Ortega was born on July 22, 1939 in Anson, Texas to Adolfo and Silvestra (Garcia) Ortega. Janie attended the Anson, Texas Public Schools before her family moved to Altus. She married Mack Marceleno on December 11, 1965 in Altus, Oklahoma and to this union three children were born. Janie was a member of the First Baptist Church and enjoyed attending church activities and Vacation Bible School. She was a member of the American G.I. Forum and loved spending time with friends and family. Her latest passion was watching NASCAR races, the Yankees and the Thunder on TV with her son.

Janie was preceded in death by her spouse, Mack Marceleno; Grandbaby Duit; her parents, Adolfo and Silvestra Ortega; niece, Chriselda Ortega; grandnieces, Michelle Jimenez and Christina Ortega; nephews, Rick Jimenez, Jose Angel Ortega, Edward Alvarez and Chris Ortega; brothers-in-law, Mago Jimenez and Carrol Montgomery; and sister-in-law, Irene Tieyah.

She is survived by two daughters, Elaine Perez and husband, Moses; Cynthia Ann Duit and husband, SMSgt Paul; and her baby boy, Randy Mack Marceleno. Janie is also survived and loved by her eight brothers and sisters, Reverend Larry Ortega and spouse, Rebecca, Louis Ortega and spouse, Lina, Joe Ortega, Sr. and spouse, Carmen, Robert Ortega and spouse, Janie, Marcelina Brewer and spouse, Donald, Frances Lopez and spouse, Edward, Dolores Montgomery, and her baby sister, Carmen G. Ortega. She is survived and loved by many special nieces, nephews and friends.
