Lillian Alexander

On Thursday, November 26, 2020, Lillian Lucille Alexander, passed away at the age of 92 in Altus, Oklahoma. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, December 2, 2020 in the Kincannon Memorial Chapel with Pastor Robert Green officiating. Burial will follow services in the Altus City Cemetery under the direction of Kincannon Funeral Home and Cremation Service.
Lillian was born on September 28, 1928 in Texarkana, Texas to
Alonzo and Josephine (Anderson) Wingfield. She was a hard worker, contributor, and loving member of the Altus community. She was married to
T.J. Alexander. Lillian had four stepsons, Tommie Jr. Alexander, Curtis
Alexander, George Alexander and Charles Alexander. She raised two children;
one son, Stevie Alexander and one daughter, Tommie Jean Alexander. Lillian
also helped to raise a granddaughter, LaShell Alexander. Lillian was a wonderful cook and baker. She loved to cook for people and received high praises for her culinary talents. She was also highly respected in her house of worship. Lillian
was a member of Mount Zion Church pastored by Minister B.L. Alexander. She was the Church Mother and teacher at Mount Zion. Later, Lillian was a devoted member of the Greater Love Ministry, pastored by Pastor Robert Green. Her love of Gospel Music helped her to rejoice in the Glory of God.
Lillian was preceded in death by her husband T.J.; mother Josephine Wingfield; sisters, Lavern and Helen; brothers Ira, Ed, and Lawrence; stepsons Curtis and George; and son, Stevie.
She is survived by her stepsons, Tommie Junior, and Charles; and daughter, Tommie Jean Alexander; four grandchildren, three great grandchildren, her most loving and helpful niece, Geneva West; and a host of nieces and nephews. The Kincannon Funeral Home building is limited to 50 people and masks are required.
