Longina Hernandez, 44, Altus, passed away on December 10, 2020 at the Jackson County Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Tuesday, December 15, 2020 in the Kincannon Memorial Chapel. Burial will follow in the Altus City Cemetery under the direction of the Kincannon Funeral Home and Cremation Service.
Longina was born on November 23, 1976 in Mexico to Macario Gomez and Rosa Ramirez. She attended school in Mexico and worked as a teacher for a short time. Longina married Michael Hernandez in 2015 in Quanah, Texas. She worked as a homemaker and was a member of the First Baptist Church. Longina enjoyed sewing, cooking and watching her novellas. She loved spending time with her family, especially her children.
Her father and a sister, Sara Gomez, preceded her in death.
Survivors include her husband, Michael, of the home; two daughters, Emily Flores and Rocio Jaimes; her mother, Rosa Ramirez; her siblings, Oralia Gomez, Ruben Gomez, Marcelino Gomez, Eduvina Gomez, Alejandrina Gomez, Francisco Gomez, Zoila Gomez, Sara Gomez and Juan Gomez; her favorite sister-in-law, Yolanda Medrano; and many other family members and friends.
