Margaret Louise Pence

Margaret Pence, 93, Altus, passed away on Tuesday, February 19, 2019 at the English Village Manor. Funeral services have been scheduled for 1:00 PM, Friday, February 22, 2019 at the Kincannon Memorial Chapel with Daniel Ingram officiating. Burial will follow services in the Jester Cemetery, North of Reed, Oklahoma. Services have been entrusted to Kincannon Funeral Home and Cremation Service.

Margaret Louise Scoggins was born to John Filder and Ruby Estelle (Heatly) Scoggins on October 11, 1925 in Jester, Oklahoma. She graduated high school in Plainview, Oklahoma. Margaret and L.A. Pence were united in marriage in Childress, Texas. She had been a waitress in several Altus and Mangum cafes and restaurants and had also worked at Jackson County Memorial Hospital in the food service department. Margaret was a member of the Elm & Hudson Church of Christ, enjoyed growing flowers, being outdoors and spending time with her pets. Margaret loved her family and spending time with them were always highlights in her days.

Margaret is preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughter, Debra Sue Pence; and two sons, Jerry Pence and Jimmy Rathjen.

She leaves behind her daughter, Kathy Weatherford and husband, Steve; two sons, Ricky Pence and Danny Pence and wife, Jean; 12 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; her sister, Ruby Faye Ingram; and many other relatives and friends.
