Marilynn Kay Poss

Marilynn Kay McKenzie Poss, 78, Altus, passed away Sunday, October 18, 2020. A Memorial service has been scheduled for 11a.m. Saturday, October 24, 2020 in the Kincannon Memorial Chapel with Marek Dawidow officiating. Services are under the direction of Kincannon Funeral Home and Cremation Services.

Marilynn Kay Mitchell was born May 28, 1942 to Clarence and Cordie (Dickerson) Mitchell in Elgin, Oklahoma. She graduated from Altus High School with the Class of 1960 and married Gayle McKenzie on April 29th the same year. She was a hairdresser at the Hair Strategy Salon for several years. Marilynn was a member of the Church of Christ and enjoyed yard work, gardening, cooking, music and spending time with her family especially her grandchildren. She married Jim Poss in September of 2016 in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Marilynn is preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Gayle McKenzie; her brother, Lavonn Mitchell and her sister, Twylla Poss.

Marilynn leaves behind her husband, Jim, of the home; daughter, Kelly Jones and husband, Robbie; sons, Mitchell McKenzie and wife, Michelle and Matthew McKenzie; three grandchildren, Chase Duncan, Mabree and Madison McKenzie as well as one great grandchild, Lily Duncan.
