Muncoblue T. "Talley" Metes

August 11, 1977 — September 12, 2021

Muncoblue T. “Talley” Metes, 44, Altus, passed away Sunday, September 12, 2021 at the Jackson County Memorial Hospital. Services will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, September 25, 2021 in the Kincannon Memorial Chapel with Pastor Adam Saaveda officiating. Cremation will follow services which are under the direction of Kincannon Funeral Home and Cremation Service.

Muncoblue T. Metes was born August 11, 1977 in Palau, Micronesia to Walter R. and Basilia Chokai. He was raised by his father, Walter and stepmother, Katherine Metes until he graduated from Palau High School with the Class of 1995. He moved to Lincoln, Nebraska to live with his uncle, Ksau Metes and continued his education at Southeast Community College. Tally worked for various fast food, restaurant, and production companies. He was later a lead material handler / molder at the Molex Incorporation for 16 years before moving to Altus. He worked for Johnny Roberts Dodge for about 2 years and had recently started working for the City of Altus in the water department. Tally was a member of The Door Church where he was the Head Usher and one of the church leaders. He enjoyed all aspects of the outdoors: grilling, fishing, and hunting. He was very involved with his church and loved time spent with his family and friends.

Tally is preceded in death by his mother, Basilia; and a nephew, Warren Tkel Meyar.

He is survived by his wife, Kokoi Katherine Metes; daughters, Tellysa, Kiara and Tiara Metes; sons, Wyatt Ngirangesil and Walter “TJ” Metes; his father Walter R. Metes and stepmother; brothers, sisters, an aunt and uncle; numerous cousins; and many friends.
