Pamela Howze

Pamela Ann Howze, 65, lifelong Duke resident, passed away on Wednesday, January 26, 2022 at the Jackson County Memorial Hospital. A private family memorial will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the care of the Kincannon Funeral Home and Cremation Service.

Pamela Ann Leonard was born on July 1, 1956 in Altus to Archie and Dorotha (Atkinson) Leonard. She grew up in Duke and graduated from Duke High School with the Class of 1974. She met the love of her life, Preston Howze, and the two were married on January 18, 1974 in Duke. Pamela graduated from Beauty School and worked as a hairdresser for more than 25 years. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Duke. Pamela enjoyed going camping but love the cherished times spent with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She will be dearly missed.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Michael and Freddie Leonard.

Survivors include her husband of 48 years, Preston Howze; a daughter, Alicia Bales and husband, Jimmy; a son, Sheldon Howze; six grandchildren, Falyn Locklear and husband, Robby, Lucas Bales and wife, Laramie, Dalton Bales, Zachary Bales, Brystal Bales, and Alicen Howze; two great grandchildren, Owen and Emmy Locklear; a sister, Susan Childs and husband, Jimmy; and many other family members and friends including a special sister-in-law, Darlene Howze.

In lieu of flowers, the family would be honored for your prayers and for you to remember times spent with Pamela.
