Phillip Ray Gibson, 61, Altus, passed away on Tuesday, March 5, 2019 at the Jackson County Memorial Hospital. Memorial services will be held at a later date in Tishomingo, Oklahoma. Local arrangements are under the direction of the Kincannon Funeral Home and Cremation Service.
Phillip Ray Gibson was born on October 10, 1957 in McKinney, Texas to Robert L. and Mildred (Nash) Gibson. He married Jane Russell Gibson and owned his own mechanic shop in Durant, Oklahoma. Phillip enjoyed gardening, working in his yard, boats and fishing.
He was preceded in death by his wife, parents, a brother and a sister.
Survivors include two sons, Clayton Gibson and wife, Lorne, and Shannon Gibson and wife, Suzanna; a daughter, Chrissy Thomas and husband, Shawn; 12 grandchildren, Tyler, Kashell, Tierra, Natosha, Devan, Isaiah, Clayton, Jr., Araylee, Danika, Chevannah, Kayla and Kelsi; three great grandchildren with one on the way; five brothers and sisters; and a sister-in-law, Pat Gibson.
