Sammy "Denton" Grange, 79, Chillicothe, Texas, passed away on Sunday, April 12, 2020 in Wichita Falls, Texas. A private family graveside will be held in the Big Valley Cemetery, southwest of Chillicothe under the direction of the Kincannon Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Altus, Oklahoma.
Sammy Denton Grange was born on July 31, 1940 in Chillicothe, Texas to Sammy D. and Inez (Cole) Grange. He grew up in Chillicothe and graduated high school there. Denton married Anna Fore in 1983 in Electra, Texas. He owned and operated his own farming business in Chillicothe and enjoyed hunting and fishing.
His parents, wife, a stepson, Casey McClain, a daughter-in-law, Lee Anna Grange, and two grandchildren, Elizabeth and Jason McClain, preceded him in death.
Survivors include his son, Dave Grange; a daughter, Lisa McClain and husband, Jay; a stepdaughter, Cheryl Burke and husband, Chriss; stepdaughter-in-law, Becky McClain; four grandchildren, Billy Calhoun and wife, Darlene, Jaisa Stanley and husband, Terry, Trey Burke and Caleb McClain; four great grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
