Sonja G. Allen

Sonja G. Allen, 77, Altus, passed away on Tuesday, October 29, 2019 at her home. Funeral services will be 10:00 AM Saturday, November 2, 2019 in the Kincannon Memorial Chapel with Dr. Jeff Moore officiating. Burial will follow in the Altus City Cemetery under the direction of the Kincannon Funeral Home and Cremation Service.

Sonja Gay Wilson was born on December 15, 1941 in rural Hollis, Oklahoma to Ewell L. and Jessie Faye (Longley) Wilson. She graduated from Altus High School in 1959 and married Donald Bob Allen in Altus on September 4, 1959. Sonja worked as a clerk and Assistant Registrar for Phillips University in Enid, Oklahoma. She retired after many years and moved back to Altus. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Altus and loved cooking and spending time with her grandchildren.

Sonja was preceded in death by her parents.

Survivors include her husband of the home; a son, Jimmy Don Allen and wife, Denise; a daughter, Cindy Gay Laurence and husband, Steve; four grandchildren, Stephanie Letney, Daniel Laurence, and Jessica and Elisabeth Allen; four great grandchildren, Abigail, Ruth Asher and Samuel Letney; and many other family and friends.
