Sylvia Grace Carter, 76, Altus, passed away on Sunday, September 6, 2020 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Graveside services will be 10:00 AM Friday, September 11, 2020 in the Restlawn Cemetery. Burial will be under the direction of the Kincannon Funeral Home and Cremation Service.
Sylvia Grace Mulley was born on August 11, 1944 in Tilbury, England to Frederick John and Sylvia (Archer) Mulley. She grew up in England and graduated school from there. She married Don P. Carter in Tilbury, England on November 11, 1972. Sylvia moved to Altus in November of 1985 and spent the rest of her life here. Sylvia worked for Altus Athletic as a seamstress for many years and also worked at Wal-Mart as a greeter. She loved her dogs, Abby and Rodney. She also loved listening to Journey and Steve Perry and enjoyed sewing and reading mystery books.
Her parents preceded her in death.
Survivors include her husband, Don, of the home; two daughters, Wendy and Jennifer Carter; a brother, Fred Mulley; three sisters-in-law, Carol Dunning, Linda Banton and husband, Charles, and Mary Ann Minton and husband, Don; and many other family members and friends.
