Tommy Stapp, 72, Olustee, passed away at his home on Thursday, June 25, 2020. A Celebration of Life Service has been scheduled for 11:00 AM, Tuesday, June 30, 2020 in the Kincannon Memorial Chapel. Services and cremation have been entrusted to Kincannon Funeral Home and Cremation Service.
Tommy Boyd Stapp was born to Weldon and Betty (Chappell) Stapp on October 8, 1947 in Bakersfield, California. He graduated from Altus High School with the Class of 1966 and attended Western Oklahoma State College. Tommy and Eddie Gaye Ballard were united in marriage on July 31, 1970 in Vernon, Texas. Tommy was a body repair technician for most of his life and was also an insurance adjuster. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, working on vehicles and building furniture.
Tommy is preceded in death by his father, Weldon Stapp, mother and stepfather, Betty and Joe Boaldin, father-in-law and mother-in-law, Ed and Reva Ballard, and two brothers-in-law, Kenneth and Billy Ballard. He is survived by his wife, Eddie, of the home; daughter, Cari Stapp and wife Tricia; grandchildren, Stephanie Shock and husband, Jeremy, and Brody Richardson; great grandchildren, Atticus Shock, Bonus Shock, and Meyah, Jaxon and Alayna Torres; a sister, Nita Allen and husband, Tommy; brothers-in-law, Harold and Jimmy Ballard; nephews, Shane Allen and wife, Nichole, Jason Ballard and wife, Paula, Justin Ballard and wife, Casey, Matt Ballard and wife, Faryn, Nathan Ballard, Christopher Ballard and Joey Dawson and wife, Brittany; nieces, Amber Smith and husband, Tracy, Heather Garcia and husband, Terry and Kristie Ganaway and husband, Mark; as well as a host of other family members and friends.
The Stapp family will greet friends Monday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 pm in the Kincannon Gathering Room.
