Maria Angeles Saldivar

August 15, 1966 — December 18, 2025

Altus

Maria De los Angeles Saldivar Azua, age 59, passed away peacefully at her home in Altus, Oklahoma on Thursday, December 18, 2025, following a courageous battle with cancer. She was born in Aguascalientes, Mexico to Fidel Saldivar Neri and Teresa (Cruz) Azua De Saldivar and was raised alongside seven siblings, learning early the importance of family, faith, and togetherness.

Angeles married Juan Lopez in Mexico on December 31, 1994, and together they were blessed with seven beautiful children who became the center of her world. He affectionately called her “Mona,” a tender name reflecting the beauty he cherished in her, both inside and out. She was the heart of her home—the steady presence that held her family together. As a devoted wife, loving mother, and cherished grandmother, Angeles poured her life into caring for those she loved, always putting her family’s needs before her own.

A caregiver by nature, Angeles was her family’s protector, comforter, and constant source of strength. Her love was unconditional and deeply rooted in her faith, guiding her to serve others with patience, humility, and grace. Even while bravely enduring her own illness, she remained focused on making sure her family felt loved, supported, and safe. Angeles was known for her strong work ethic, working tirelessly until her declining health made it no longer possible.

Angeles found joy in the simple blessings of life—tending to her roses, gathering with her loved ones, and admiring the beauty of this season and the quiet wonder of falling snow. Her greatest legacy is the family she nurtured, the faith she lived by, and the love she planted in each heart. Though her earthly presence is gone, her family finds peace in knowing she now rests in God’s eternal care, reunited with His promise of comfort and peace.

The love she instilled will be remembered in her husband of almost 31 years, Juan; children, Adriana Lopez, Mariah Angela Puentes, Jennifer Lopez, Stephanie Lopez, Juan Lopez, Roberto Lopez, and Florencio Lopez; grandchildren, Mercedes, Isaiah, Juan, Viviana, Jocelin, Vanessa, Jhonny, Cameron, Adrian, Damian, Dominic, and Cielo, great-grandchild, Luna; mother, Teresa; sisters, Yolanda, Elsa, Tere, Araceli, Eloina, Chayo, and Lourdes; and brothers, Raymundo and Samuel; and a host of other family members and treasured friends.

Viewing is scheduled from 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM on Monday and Tuesday, December 29th and 30th. Services are scheduled for 1:00 Pm on Wednesday, December 31st, in the Kincannon Memorial Chapel with Lupe Gonzales officiating.
