Bennie Albert Guest

April 5, 1946 — February 23, 2018

Bennie A. Guest, 71, Altus, passed away Friday evening at Plantation Village Nursing Center in Altus. Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, February 28, 2018 at the Altus City Cemetery with Rev. Erin Martinez officiating. Services are under the direction of Kincannon Funeral Home and Cremation Service.

Bennie Albert Guest was born April 5, 1946 in Macon, Georgia to Buck and
Ida Mae (Land) Guest. He attended Macon, Georgia schools and for many years was a roofing contractor. Bennie married Alice Krieg on April 2, 1982 in Jackson County. Bennie and Alice have owned and operated the Altus Cab Company for the past 17 years. He was a 32nd Degree Mason at the Altus Masonic Lodge #62, a hard worker and enjoyed tinkering with old cars.

Bennie is preceded in death by his parents; three sisters; Hazel Standridge, Magnolia Caffee and Pauline Laws; three brothers; Robert Simmons, D.J. Simmons and Earl Guest.

He is survived by his wife, Alice; two daughters, Lana Gales and husband, Andrew; April Watson and husband, James; three sons, Eddie Cardwell; Terry Cardwell and wife, Jeanette; Buck Guest and wife, Crystal; one brother, Mac Simmons and wife, Judy; two sisters, Anne Staines and husband, Kenneth; Barbara Campbell; brother-in-law, Bobby Laws; nine grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren and many friends.

The Guest family will greet friends Tuesday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Online tributes may be made at kincannonfuneralhome.com
