Bobbie Ed Hubert

Bobbie Ed Hubert, 92, Altus, passed away on Thursday, October 19, 2023 just 20 days shy of his 93^rd birthday. Services will be at 10:00 AM on Monday, October 23, 2023 in the Kincannon Memorial Chapel. Burial will follow at the Altus City Cemetery under the direction of Kincannon Funeral Home and Cremation Service.

Bobbie was born on November 8, 1930 in La Ward, Texas to Edwin Emmett “Ed” and Zella Bell (Flowers) Hubert. He attended Altus Schools and graduated with the Class of 1951. He served in the Korean War with the United States Marine Corps. Upon return to Altus Bobbie played semi-pro football with the Altus Yellow Jackets in the 1960’s. He worked for Riley Engineering from 1952 to 1966 before his career with the City of Altus where he retired as the Water Superintendent in 1998. Bobbie married Jackie Yvonne Browder on June 2, 1972 in Altus. He enjoyed gardening and going to garage sales.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ed and Zella; son, Gary Hubert; stepson, Clay Stephens; grandson, J.J. Hubert; and brother, Billie Hubert.

Those left to honor Bobbie’s memory are his wife of 51 years, Jackie; children, David Hubert and wife, Beverly and Tyson Hubert and wife, Cindy; stepson, Mike Stephens and wife, Manda; 10 grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; five great-great grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
