Bryon Ray Nolan was born on August 9, 1972, Altus, Oklahoma to Richard Leon and Kathy Noleen (Welch) Nolan. After graduating Blair High School with the Class of 1990, Bryon entered the United States Army. While faithfully serving his country, he was awarded several decorations, including the Army Good Conduct Medal, Overseas Service Ribbon, and the Sharpshooter Badge.
After returning to southwest Oklahoma, Bryon attended college, earning a master’s degree in business from Cameron University. Bryon settled in the area and worked as a contracting officer with the Federal Aviation Administration while raising his daughter, Jayden.
Bryon was a jack of all trades and enjoyed working with his hands. He was an artist at heart and enjoyed making custom fishing lures. An avid OU and OKC Thunder fan, Bryon was ecstatic to see the Thunder’s National Championship before his passing on Sunday, June 29, 2025.
His can-do attitude and Keep Moving Forward motto will live on in his pride and joy, daughter ~ Jayden; parents, Leon and Kathy; brother, Steven; and a host of other family members and friends.
A Celebration of Life is scheduled for 2:00 PM on Monday, July 7th, in the Kincannon Memorial Chapel. Military Honors will be rendered by the United States Army.
Guests are encouraged to wear their favorite OKC Thunder attire – please no black for his celebration. In lieu of flowers the family humbly requests that memorials in Bryon's name be made to:
St. Jude Children's Research Hospital - 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105
