CATHY ANN YARBROUGH

Cathy Ann Yarbrough was born on November 10, 1962, in Amarillo, Texas, to Richard and Joyce (Salisbury) Yarbrough. During her childhood, the family lived in California and New Mexico before settling in Oklahoma.

She earned her nursing degree from the University of Oklahoma and dedicated many years to serving others as a Licensed Practical Nurse. Later, Cathy moved to Washington, where she worked as a Licensed Massage Therapist. She eventually returned to Altus, to help care for her brother, David.

Cathy’s life reflected her giving heart—always willing to lend a hand and care for others. She was an avid reader and cherished her family deeply. Cathy passed away on September 13, 2025, at Jackson County Memorial Hospital at the age of 72.

Loved ones preceding her in death include her parents, Richard and Joyce Yarbrough (Concrete, WA); sister, Linda McBride (Everett, WA); and brothers, Rick Yarbrough (Concrete, WA) and David Yarbrough (Altus, OK).

Cathy is survived by her nieces, Vickie Clonce (Conway, AR) and Valerie Benson (Dallas, TX); along with numerous friends in the Altus area.
