Charles L. Ridge

Charles L. “Chuck” Ridge, 77, of Altus, Oklahoma passed away at Integris Hospice in Oklahoma City on Monday, August 1, 2022. Services will be at 10:00 AM on Saturday, August 6th in the Kincannon Memorial Chapel. Burial will follow at the Altus City Cemetery under the direction of Kincannon Funeral Home and Cremation Service.

Chuck was born on November 20, 1944 in Brewton, Alabama to Charles Looney and Helen Taylor (Davis) Ridge. He attended school in Chattanooga, Tennessee and entered the United States Air Force after graduation in 1963. Chuck faithfully served his country for 20 years. He married the love of his life, Mildred Lanier, on July 3, 1964 in Trenton, Georgia. In their 58 years of marriage, they had two daughters, Cheryl and Serena. After returning to Altus Chuck earned a Business associate degree from Western Oklahoma State College. Chuck retired from the military as Master Sergeant and went onto work as Real Estate/Broker. Chuck never met a stranger! He enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Helen; a son, Charles, Jr.; two sisters; and one brother.

Chuck is survived by his wife, Mildred; daughters, Cheryl Heal and husband, Ray and Serena Fairchild and husband, Mike; grandchildren, Lindsey Hurst and husband, Brandon, Keera Heal, Brad Hicks and wife, Breanna, Kelsey Crawford and fiancé, Brandon Ybarra, Kayla Fairchild, Austin Fairchild, and Taylor Fairchild; great grandchild, Riley Hicks; siblings, Johnny “Jabo” Hutchins and wife, Linda, Fay Standford; brother-in-law, Donald Lanier; niece Bridget Baker; special friend, Bella; and numerous other family members and friends.
