Dani was born on June 4, 1982 in Altus, Oklahoma to Donald Lee and Donna LaVonne (Perry) Altom. She was born with Rett Syndrome, a rare neurologic disorder that affects brain development, which impaired a lot of her functions. Dani grew up in Blair and graduated from Blair High School in 2000. She was active in the 4-H Club and attended Learning Lab. Dani loved being outside and taking walks with her Daddy. She enjoyed the times spent swimming, jumping on the trampoline, or riding in the golf cart. Dani had a smile that could melt the hearts of even the hardest hearted! When she smiled or giggled, it was contagious, and made you do it too. Dani loved God and radiated His love. Even though it was tough to communicate, she talked with her eyes. She will be greatly missed.
Her grandparents, Cloyd and Gayle Altom, and R.T. and Eunice Perry, preceded her in death.
Survivors include her parents, Donald and Donna Altom; two sisters, D’Ann Michelle Altom and husband, Clint Colbert and their children, Jedd and Oliva and Donise Nicole “Nicki” Lathery and husband, Matt and their daughter, Anna; one brother, Douglas Jonathan Altom and his daughter, Evelynn; and many other family members and friends.
